If they are added this year (likely), they will be added in December.

Personally I believe Oxy is incorrect and was going off his internal logic, not any real development plans.

Gaijin is not going to add the first 5th gens in any month of the year besides December. I am so sure of this I would bet a thousand dollars on it. Now, the question becomes “will they add them in December 2026 or December 2027?”

Personally, and due to Gaijin being known for adding things way too early (ARHs, Eurofighter, Rafale, Su-30SM2, etc), I think it is very likely we will see early versions of the F-22A, Su-57S, and J-20 this December. Which will let them nicely cap off the most anticipated 4.5th gens in November with the F-15EX and Su-35S.

Additionally:
Gaijin LOVES to introduce new airframes in December, and our introduction to modern 4th gen airframes (Apex Predators) included 3 new planes (F-16, Tornado, MiG-29). I could see them doing the same thing for 5th gens with the F-22 (or MAYBE F-35), Su-57 and J-20.

Seeing SU-30s in 12.0 Air Arcade still is just ridiculous.

Can’t fight them in an F18C or F15A but apparently Phantom ll’s absolutely should. Bring your own 12.7 - 13.3’s and you go to 14.3 while the SUs hang back. They pair a biplane with a 13.3 to push it to 13.0 and get unrestricted access to 12.0.

Shameless.

The worst part? The SU players think they’re actually doing something that requires skill.

It was reconfirmed that he was going off of development plans, not “his internal logic”. Smin told us that Oxy as a community manager can see things a year ahead, especially all of the big ticket items.

Would certainly be weird for Oxy to say F-22 isn’t coming for over a year, while knowing the F-22 is coming.

Bare in mind Oxy did say this back in the beginning on January and as we are well aware of now plans do change so it’s possible that at the time Oxy said it the F-22 wasn’t in the plans but as the year has gone on stuff has changed.

If this is the case then I suppose we will likely see the F-35 this December instead of the F-22. This does line up with them adding munitions specifically capable of fitting inside the bays of the F-35 throughout the year, such as the AIM-120C-5, GBU-39/B, GBU-53/B and most recently the AGM-88G AARGM-ER.

As opposed to the odd vehicles that can be moved up or delayed.
