Type 69-IIa is one of my top vehicles rn because of the APHE, soon to use the SAP on the VT-5 too
Do you need to go to specsavers? One of the few things gaijin is good at in map design terms is putting debris piles or objects at hull height all around most maps.
Then that should be it.
I don’t care about skill. I don’t care about performance. I don’t care about playstyles and I certainly don’t care about stats.
I could be Jane Warthunder and I’d say exactly the same:
I only care about vehicles being properly depicted and without issues.
So I don’t get why all of the former matters needs to be brought up every time I talk about objective technical aspect issues.
Advance when it’s safe to do so, remain hull down when it isn’t.
Play tanks that are better suited for your playstyle then.
Because, while it is true that the ammo shouldn’t be in the hull, it isn’t a detriment at all when you play hull down. It actually is can be beneficial lol
I just like silly HE rounds tbh, HESH & HE my beloved
Like Arjun would be if not for the wrong ammunition placement?
Not every map gives you the chance. There are many urban and city maps, etc.
I mean you’d still die to a hullshot, even if it magically didn’t take out your crew, the turret ring and basket will quite happily go on break for a minute while the enemy plans out a follow up shot.
AGM-84H has this as well iirc
I highly doubt it would fit any playstyle except for hull down any better even without those 3 rounds in the hull. The armour is legitimately terrible.
Use the Vickers or the Bhishma on those maps. Or do you only bring the Arjun and no other MBTs?
Yeah but Gaijin’s implementation is just make it a Maverick but with wings, the GNSS can’t actually be used on it.
The fixed ammo rack doesn’t change anything for the Arjun in terms of how it plays. It will remain the same capability wise.
But it’s wrong. That’s the only thing that matters and all other factors you brought up are entirely unrelated and unwarranted.
Imagine if Leopard 2A4, for instance, with a similar armor profile (and leaving aside blowout panels), was always forced to carry 4 shells in the hull while the bustle rack is left with empty slots, instead of naturally filling in the bustle first, then the hull.
I am sure there would be 500 bug reports then and unanimous agreement that it should be fixed.
But when it’s Arjun, I suddenly get only people dunking on me, my performance and my playstyle “because it’s fine and wouldn’t change much anyway”…?
Sometimes it feels like people just want to fight or dunk on others no matter how small the reason for it may be xd.
This thing has equivalent armor to Sabra, worse thermals, worse shell, a bit more mobile and here 0.7 BR higher
Remove MK 2 APFSDS, add HEAT, shrink down to 10.0
It’s because you seem to be making this a way bigger deal than it really is, especially when claiming
The Arjuns layout makes it unlikely for you to survive a shot there either way.
I don’t care about your performance, I’m just trying to tell you that the tank is sub-optimal for any kind of playstyle except for hull down sniping because this legitimately is a case of it not mattering whether it was fixed or not.
I think Arjun is a great 10.7, and it would be even greater if it got its rack fixed!
Compared to Leopard 2A4, the baseline 10.7;
It has better turret armor; in fact, some of the best in 10.7.
Pros:
Better firepower (50+mm of pen).
Better turret armor (Even the MANTLET is solid!).
Better thermals (2nd gen vs 1st gen).
Cons:
Worse mobility.
Lacks blowout panels.
Basically, it’s an asymmetrical sidegrade to Leopard 2A4.
Wuh, the turret armour is actually incredibly solid lmao
What are you smoking
Sounds like the perfect hull down tank to me
On the sides maybe lol, but not on the front.
LFP made of glass, UFP on the 300mm KE range; basically comparable.
Nobody disagrees with you saying that it should be fixed. People are pointing out to you that it won’t suddenly make the Arjun more capable than it already is.
The 2A4 is hardly the baseline for 10.7, it’s one of the shared best 10.7s. And current bugged Arjun is already barely worse.
By baseline, I meant; common, widespread, popular and effective. Basically, the “template” for 10.7, when it comes to what you would expect from a 10.7. Specially since pretty much every tree has at least one at this point xD.
Well, your first reply to me asking Arjun to be fixed was to mention how “bad I was” and how much “I needed introspection to improve”. That’s basically stat-shaming and it was unwarranted and unrelated to the subject matter.
