I’m not dying on the hill, nor am I continuing to state that the document is correct? Simply that you’ll have to take up a typo in a document with ACC, not me?
you are saying that a single doc overrules the multiple other docs of similar if not more legitimacy, just because the C-7 did not get another +5 inch motor, and your argument would fall apart that the C-7 is modeled incorrectly ingame.
As @Macron-Spokesman has said the C-7 and C-5 would be identical no matter if aircraft launched or ground.
The only motor upgrades the AMRAAM series ever received were with the C-5 and D-3
I’m stating that the document is more recent and therefore should carry more evidential weight as a result of that. I did not at any point state that it overrules the other documents, nor did I even imply that.
You can put words into my mouth all you want, but I simply did not state that. I stated the document is newer, and that it is from ACC.
Even if what you are saying is true it would still carry over to the 120D and the 120D would still be better than the C-7 contrary to what you said
The C-7 would be an improvement over the C-5 for nations that did not receive the D variant is what I was getting at. Probably could’ve been clearer in that regard.
And it won’t be. Like that’s what everyone is trying to tell you.
Yeah no, we were talking about better missiles for the F-15EX not a foreign jet, don’t try to switch up now
With its current ingame implementation, no. Documents were already posted indicating the improved EA and lethality of the C-7, though - so it should. I don’t really care for Gaijin’s fantasy land.
You asked about NG AAMs and I stated the improved US AAMs.
People want EX not because “new totally OP plane that will fix everything” but because we just want F-15E with actually good radar for GRB/NE.
We’re on forums of a game called Warthunder, and we’re discussing how weapons might be implemented in-game, might be important to preface this.
The C variants of the AMRAAM will always be worse then the D´s no matter what lol
also according to someone the C-7 should ingame have a +10 inch motor
ironically this is also true.
USA first actual 14.7? ✅
AESA? ✅
Aura farmer? ✅

- Not incorrect. The EX does not carry 16 AAMs operationally.
- That’s your opinion.
- That’s your opinion.
- A single typo due to a poor memory.
- Not incorrect.
- Not incorrect.
So not only did I only misspeak once, YOU decided to make up an arbitrary number out of thin air due to I can only assume you not liking my opinion. If you’re going to make personal attacks, you should be accurate in doing so rather than plucking whatever number you like out of thin air.
Except it won’t be that, though - this is what I’ve been saying. It does not currently field CFTs operationally (though they are planned, don’t know Gaijin’s criteria for that) so its AG ordnance count is more limited at current.
F-15EX in 5 years though, fuck yeah that’ll be great for NE/GRB with that quantity of JDAMs.
For those who are actually curious as to what each variant changes, we know a surprising amount about them thanks to multiple documents and declassified weapons files and here’s the summary:
Spoiler
AIM-120A (Lots 1-5) Baseline missile
AIM-120B (Lots 6-7) (APREP) Introduces electrically erasable programmable read only memory (EEPROM) for software updates via field level reprogramming
AIM-120C3 (Lots 8-10) (P³I Phase 1) Introduces clipped wing and fin design for compatibility with F 22A internal carriage
AIM-120C4 (Lot 11) (P³I Phase 2) Introduces new improved blast fragmentation warhead (WDU-41/B), further software upgrades
AIM-120C5 (Lot 12) (P³I Phase 2) Introduces new +5 rocket motor (WPU-16/B) and shortened control actuation Section (SCAS)
AIM-120C6 (Lots 13-15) (P³I Phase 2) Introduces new quadrant target detection device (QTDD) for improved fusing
AIM-120C7 (Lots 16-21) (P³I Phase 3) Introduces improved guidance section hardware for improved electronic protection (EP)
AIM-120D (P³I Phase 4) Introduces GNSS, two-way datalink, updated guidance software and improved network compatibility
AIM-120D (P³I Phase 4) (SIP-1) Introduces improved software
AIM-120D (P³I Phase 4) (SIP-2) Introduces improved software
AIM-120D (P³I Phase 4) (SIP-3) Introduces improved software
AIM-120C8 (F3R) Introduces modernized guidance section hardware, based on the AIM-120C7
AIM-120D3 (F3R) (SIP-3F) Introduces modernized guidance section hardware, improved software and a slightly longer new rocket motor
I’m not claiming otherwise? The D variant is underperforming and is at about what the C-7’s performance should be?
We’re talking about the missiles, not how Gaijin implement them. If we were talking about how Gaijin would implement them, the D-3 would be a D reskin with +30 seconds of guidance time lmao
The context was F-15EX and what missiles it would/could get in Warthunder. So you’re wrong on that tbh.
