ok +2 years is what you want 2030 yea it will already have prototypes in the sky by that time 2028 so yes it is indeed the F/A-XX development millstone timeline

To be fair, if the Navy 6th gen is going to be Gen 5.5 because it’s likely not supercruise, then by your own criteria the B21 isn’t 6th gen since afaik it isn’t going to have supercruise either.
All of us also anointed him as the sole authority over aircraft generation.

bombers don’t need supercruise they need range a fighter needs both why do we call J50 6th gen ? because it has a “stealthy” design with no tail and dorrito wings with j20 body? yea sounds great

you guys don’t understand that the F/A-XX will actually just have same weapons as what F18E has right now like the new aim260 and aim424 if generations are determined by weapons that means f18E is 6th gen? a generation “needs” tech and Propulsion imrpovments which F/A-XX is seeming it will lack propulsion
then prove 6th gen even exist :)
