Can’t find the comment on my mind, maybe I mixed it up with others. Do you have any confirmation its a subtree? I mean, it’s a little weird for a subtree to take up almost half the tree.
*also yes the Modern Republic of China (Taiwan) and pre-PRC Republic of China are counted as the same in game.

In all honestly though it’s a huge shame seeing trees lose their unique feel. I get that not every BR can be totally discount (cough, cough when F-35 gets here) but the last two years have really homogenized the trees, I much preferred when it felt meaningfully different to play against Britain/Japan/France/Italy/Russia etc
The F-15 STOL/MTD was an F-15 modified by NASA to test out technologies to improve maneuverability and short field takeoff capability. It was never intended to be armed or used by the military, and it actually had its gun, radar, and CM dispensers removed. It would not be able to come to the game.
Fiction, paper requires the armed design to be a real historical thing that simply never left the drawing board, fictional armament needs to be drawn up by the devs first.
i cant find anything else but considering (speculation take with salt) he refers to them as import vehicles to the chinese tree Taiwan counts as an integral part of it.
It’s hard to call one version of the same nation a sub-tree of the other version (even more so when the one labelled the sub-tree was the primary version of the nation).
It’s like calling the FRG and GDR sub-trees of Germany. All of which the wiki labels as different nations.
I’ve used this example many times, nobody considers the split Germany as subtrees so why the split China? Also can be used in the argument of “Taiwan and China are enemies”, so were the FRG and GDR? At some point they were the top tiers of the German tree.
only thing that is questionable is the fact that you cant select the flag for the nation list at the bottom yeah, tho the vehicles themself have the correct one
which is quite funny cause literally everywhere else the flag is shown
