Next Major Update - Rumor Roundup & Discussion (Part 2)

Making a separate list of denied vehicles would be… a lot. New ones get denied all the time in different places in the forum. And Gaijin’s standards change on what can be allowed too. As you point out, that vehicle was denied for 2026, so it in theory could come for the future. But thus literally any vehicle that isn’t added in this update or the next one would also fit that description.

That’s why I love MiG designations, every unique plane has a unique number and that’s awesome

Same, unfortunately too many people don’t

To be fair the O-I was denied for lacking information. It isn’t paper at all, just an unfinished prototype, even if the myths remain that “no photos = no prototype” and written sources aren’t popular enough.
And the Ho-Ri in game, both of them, were not paper but entirely fictional, not reflecting the real design at all.

I believe the O-I and Löwe might not be vehicles added soon, but instead just examples from the leakers. Instead this could mean they are relaxing internal requirements to be more lenient with unfinished vehicles (like suggestion rules) or even full on paper vehicles for events.

We will have to wait and see what this really means

Idk if gaijin could make the 2A8 work tbh as it has 2 active protection Systems. Atleast the german one

Ngl I am not opposed to this change. Gaijin has started to run out of “main stream” additions for ground (still plenty of real vehicles to add) and this would be a decent way to add vehicles that have attained infamy due to WoT but don’t have enough proof behind their existence.

Doesn’t have to be a big shift in agenda. Like allow vehicles that have had parts of their prototype completed (not full blueprint vehicles) similar to how it is in naval but a bit more strict.

It would hopefully open up the doors for vehicles like the Tas (both variants), VK 30.02DB, P.43 bis, etc. All of them would bring something unique and help fill gaps in trees.

That being said, I don’t think these ‘leaks’ are reliable.

Pretty sure that suggestions have the same level as requirements as in-game implementation.

Just that devs have to also consider if its a good fit for the game or not, or if there’s a better choice.
^Just for context, I’m not commenting on any “leaks” or “educated guesses”, just clarifying

There are plenty of suggestions of vehicles with mock-up components, but Gaijin have explicitly rejected adding mock-up components for existing or new vehicles (Streetfighter II, as just one example)

I’ve said for a long time that I’d hope to take the suggestion rules about unfinished prototypes as standard for the game. It’s a clear and easy to understand line to draw, so I’m happy about the change if it’s that.

If it goes into full on paper though I’m not so sure. I don’t mind faithfully recreated finished designs that sadly just weren’t built, but I don’t like the idea of then having to fill in too many holes for less finished designs.
They don’t exactly have the best track record of transparency when it comes to informing people about their changes, and have in the past even actively spread misinformation (see F-16AJ) to justify their decisions.

This mostly comes with the fact the Brimstone launcher was just a mockup, the actual vehicle is fully functional.

Yeah, which therefore means the suggestion rules (allowing individual mock-up components or tbh, even most of a vehicle) are not the same as Gaijin’s rules (which seem to mostly prohibit adding features that were only mock-ups)

I think suggestion rules have the exact rules for consideration, but not necessarily addition. For example vehicles with too little information to add can be suggested, so they can be considered and potentially added when possible, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t a limitation that exists.

But mostly like you said it’s probably more that their priorities are different than the actual hard limits. I just think this could mean that for events those soft rules could relax a bit, and it doesn’t necessarily have to mean fully paper designs will be added anytime soon or the core rules for consideration are changed (even if that’s possible too).

Except the vehicle is still fully functional, hence why it can be suggested. Again, its down to the developer’s discretion for the Brimstone since there’s no information on how its operated, what seeker it’d use, etc.

^Also iirc its denial for the Brimstone is that its totally nonfunctional and wasn’t planned to be functional, it was a tech demo without planned functionality as far as I’m aware.

Was the Streetfighter really a prototype though?

I thought it was just a Challenger 2 with mockups of what the streetfighter would bring, and it’d need vehicle (or variant in this case) specific components built to be an unfinished prototype. More like the Flak 341 with a mockup of the turret on the standard Panther hull, which is still just a mockup because the hull wasn’t exclusively made/modified for it.

That’s what I’m saying. I’m not saying it shouldn’t be possible to suggest it, just that these sorts of vehicles can be suggested (another example is the NMBT, which is clearly almost entirely a mock-up, just on a functional chassis) on the forums, but Gaijin’s internal rules are stricter and pretty much require the whole vehicle to have been constructed in full (ofc there are exceptions in-game, there’s some inconsistencies)

Edit: NMBT suggestion doesn’t exist anymore so maybe it was removed for being a mock-up, I don’t know

Edit 2: It does still exist, just the link on the previously suggested page is wrong

I mean I guess this is just going to be a looping conversation because we don’t know Gaijin’s internal rules generally. We can only assume them based off of comments and suggestion rules.

This one or a different NMBT?

Any ideas if/when the pack sales will be on console?

Suggestion rules allow people to write about anything within the regular limits of Gaijins internal rules, but Gaijin with a limited amount of content they can add at any given time will hit these limits significantly less than players writing about whatever unusual thing excites them.

^Also Mauswaffe words it (my thoughts) better than I can

Also have to consider that since they can’t add everything at once, adding them individually also causes “bias” issues in the community. “why can UK get Chally Streetfighter but US doesn’t get AbramsX / USSR doesn’t get Object 640 / Germany doesn’t get another leopard” .etc.
