I’m not aware of all sources used in the aircraft I’m afraid. As I mentioned, we have a team of people working on aircraft research and vast libraries of sources used.
As far as im aware, they were ex RAF and updated by North American (Where the “M” comes from). Likely part of those upgrades.
But I would encourage anyone with info to the contrary to make a report and we can get it reviewed like the engine report.
The main extra consideration there though is then someone else complains about too much “copy paste” if we also duplicate it simply in the US tree hidden in a folder somewhere. So every time we add an aircraft variant, we have to take this into consideration. If its a unique variant to the game, like the F/A-18D was for Japan via Malaysia, It gave that tree something unique, whilst also not taking away from the US tree at the same time.
None the less, as we mentioned back then, we are aware of feedback and desires to still see a US F/A-18D too. So it may have some use in the future.
the problem is that dual seaters actually offer less most of the time by being heavier, having less fuel and generally worse flight performance
another issue would be already foldered vehicles like the F-16A and the 16A ADF
so where would the blk10 F-16B go?
if you put it in between the 16A and the ADF ppl that grind for the ADF will be angry
but why would you put a 12.3 aircraft behind a 13.3 one in the folder
and that whole thing would get even messier if you consider the blk15 f-16b
and then there is also the soviet double seaters as well which in case of the Mig-23 or Mig-29 would be just straight downgrades bc they dont have radars and thus no radar missiles
I think that two-seater variants of single seat aircraft are great premium/squadron/event vehicle options, sadly people tend to get annoyed when those vehicles aren’t unique enough in a gameplay sense
So instead of two-seater “copies” we end up with completely unique vehicles being FOMO or paywalled
The A28 and J34 don’t show up when searching for Vampire and Hunter respectively for example
edit: this actually bothers me now, like half of the Shermans don’t show up when you search for “M4”, but when you search for “Sherman”, the M4A4 SA50 doesn’t show up
The M-51 doesn’t show up when searching for either one of those terms
New ASB maps? Pyrenees, Falkland Islands, Pradesh, Kamchatka.
ASB maps overhaul? Slightly larger maps from 128² to atleast 160², re-texturing ASB maps.
Fixing bugged ASB lobbies? Ghost lobbies that look like they are active but don’t exist when joined are annoying.
Fixing bugged ASB objectives? Ground objectives stuck in the ground, AI Sabre’s that fly Mach 1.5 that shouldn’t be, etc.
ASB objectives overhaul? AI that fly higher, 6,000m+, 10,000m+ if it’s surveillance, attack/defend train convoy at props to low jet tier, attack/defend refineries/factories that also have AA/SAM sites.
BR fixes, changes for ASB?
Reduce Multi-pathing? 60m to 30m.
Iron dome? Get rid of it or significantly reduce the ability to MCM.
Come on man, make stuff for ASB happen. Sim players have been waiting patient for years on ASB fixes and re-works. The game play has become bland and repetitive, it get’s too boring, too fast.
They’re not ex-RAF because they’re based on Mk.2 Sabres with the original angled armoured windsreen. They’re ex-RCAF.
All the RAF’s operational Sabres were Mk.4s and had flat windscreens, which remained present on the RAF planes transferred to Italy and Yugoslavia.
I think the confusion that they’re British comes from the fact the Greek Sabres were transferred from Canada to Greece via the UK, where they were overhauled by Airwork Limited in Manchester before being picked up and flown to Greece.
