same, ain’t willing to do him rn, no dm53 = no fun
short range 9X-2 at same tier as long range MICA IR is crazy
So long as it’ll have datalink, it’ll still be good and can be fired at range while also guided in. There’s also the possibility of datalink preventing it from seeing flares in certain scenarios.
Both P5 and IRIS-T can jump to S, as they have DL
Neither has datalink.
Yeah, both do.
Python 5 doesn’t have datalink, an aircraft being able to tell it where to go from datalinked information isn’t datalink.
And IRIS-T doesn’t have datalink as there’s already a very clear primary source showing IRIS-T → IRIS-T SLM: Datalink.
Also, read the title of the chart. It says “Ranking of next-generation IR missiles for Warthunder”. Unless there’s accepted reports showing datalink for these missiles, neither one would get datalink. It’s not “ranking for IRL”.
I couldn’t find official press release for it, so Janes has to do for now.

We went over this, Python 5 will be able to do IOG launch on datalinked information that was sent from another plane to the host aircraft:

That’s not datalink.
Thank you, I’ll see if I can make a report that would be added to that report with a primary source showing it doesn’t have datalink.
You can’t see a part of the text, that is the most important here
New source, superdates older ones.
As you can see by the original not a bug in that report, I already went over it.
Interconnected Entities… this sounds interesting
Idk what they smoked while making the UI.
Again, the launching aircraft can uplink the datalinked information before launch. All missiles with IOG can have data uplinked to it while it is still on the aircraft before being fired.
You are seriously going to argue that they mean Uplink to the missile on rail.
Yes I am when Global Link is for datalink between aircraft and each of those aircraft can receive data from the others to launch with.

It is also used by missiles, like Derby

Expand the Superior Technology part
Then why isn’t the Python 5 visibly different from previously? You can clearly see AIM-9X Block 2’s datalink when it got it versus when AIM-9X Block 1 did not have any datalink. They had to have added datalink receiver onto the missile*. The Derby-ER brochure states it has datalink receiver.
