Next Major Update - Rumor Roundup & Discussion (Part 1)

So was the YF-23, it could have taken the Raptor’s place and become a mass produced Variant.

No other nation in game has an unfinished prototype ofc

Good thing we can ignore it as it had planned weaponry and was a prototype.

Well, eventually at some point in the distant future, only prototype and blueprint vehicles are left so…

Fair, but I have never seen a Russian vehicle to be under the scrutiny of Gaijin. So far they have replaced, remodeled or removed vehicles conveniently of other nations.

We FR listing the Lavi as a 4+ gen. Brother in crist. It has no CM’s and only 4 IR missiles

Right, they haven’t intentionally nerfed any Russian vehicles ever. They just get released and only buffed :)

Such as the Ho-Ri, which was fake? Or the Tiger 105, Coelian and Panther II which were all fake? The Chi-To Late was unfinished and yet made it to the game, the Panther F turret and hull were never fitted together but we have that in game, the Sea Meteor was also unarmed iirc.

No that was fitted together.

It’s a Yak 141 situation, if they add it they can add it in two ways

  1. Without CMs and have it be at an awkward BR

  2. Add it with the weapons and CMs it was planned to have

Not just that one, there is a whole list of planes in the game that never had guns fitted IRL

There’s also the J6K1 which was the inverse lol

Exactly, so I see no excuse for not adding the Jets I named.

something called support aircraft and drones exist

If they wanted to add Lavi or the F-CK, they would have added a million times before. They are not coming and we now hope for them not being an event vehicle for the day Gaijin gets bored

MiG-25/31 series are also nearing this

Since it seemd like submarine are coming to the game… does that mean we will see submarine tech tree?

South-Africa could have easily been a sub-TT for a BeNeLux TT TBH, together with Congo, Suriname and Rhodesia (Zimbabwe).
Then South-Africa could really shine due to them fixing a lot of gaps inside a BeNeLux TT.

While I agree that they should be added at some point, these are different cases.

There was no intention to arm the EAP or Su-47, the YF-23 would only have received weapons for testing, had it won the competition and the F-15MTD was a research aircraft.

The MiG 1.44 is a bit of a weird case as they may have intended to integrate weapons for testing, but as far as I know, they never got around to doing that before the project was cancelled in favour of the PAK FA project (Su-57).

The EAP was always meant to demonstrate tech that would go on to be used in the EF Typhoon, the Su-47 was mostly experimental and there was no intention to adopt that design and the F-15MTD (later F-15 ACTIVE) was used as a research vehicle to help with the development of technologies used in the AFT programme (F-22).

The YF-23 could qualify for a Yak 141 treatment.
Equip it based on a “what if we ended up with the F-23 instead of the F-22” scenario.

The MiG 1.44 could be treated similarly.

Meanwhile the planes in the game that lacked guns IRL really just did lack guns and nothing else, they were ready for adoption and just needed to get the go-ahead for production.

Still has nothing to do with being a “4+” gen even if it was added with its non existent armaments. Pretty sure there is no evidence it was ever even ment to have anything else

Was armed.

mockup aim120s btw
