Then I’ll go beyond cope. I’ll HOPE for it’s addition, wether it’s next patch, next year or next decade.

I. Will. Hope

I don’t get why these 30mm vehicles are so popular

It looks cool and Latvia. It’s enough for me.

Because they are cool pretty shrimple

Any changes to the Situation?

I’ll see myself out :p

Why does everyone seem to forget about multi-spectral smoke grenades? Many modern tanks have smoke grenades with chaff mixed in to block MMW radar. As a specific example, American vehicles are equipped with the M81 66mm smoke grenade, which does exactly that.

I believe one of the MiG-27s has their KH-31 restricted to NE only.

Because Gaijin seems too busy doing other silly stuff and doesn’t seem to care about adding stuff like multi-spectral smoke or reworked countermeasures

The problem is you don’t know when to deploy that smoke. Yes, it’s a counter, but MMW guidance would negate APS - the only other counter to air to ground munitions with the exception of cover and such. You’d have a counter that you wouldn’t know how to deploy - much like IR/TV guided missiles being a pain in the ass in the lower tiers.

Should still add MMW though.

It’s the exact same way with IR guided missiles though. You either have to see the launch or notice your teammates dying them to know you should pop smoke. So if they implemented multi-spectral smokes like that, it would make no noticeable difference.

The only way MMW would negate an APS is by coming in from too high of an angle for it to see. Which can already be done by IR weapons. The most effective way of using them (dropping them from straight above) does do this.

Brimstones seeker counteracts this since it doesn’t use the standard frequency the smokes blocks. It wouldn’t work and if it did a lot of nations don’t use it

They should just get busy adding CIWS vehicles for as many nations as possible

After doing that they can go wild with A2G weapons

Except they do do it when they feel like it. Otherwise the F-16XL would not have amraams and the Yak-141 wouldn’t have any of its missiles.

They do that for vehicles that didn’t enter service, the Gripen is in service

Which you can do pretty reliably.

Which Brimstones do much easier than AGM-65s etc

God I wish

And that’s why the Gripen wasn’t a good example there. The YF-23 also did not enter service like the F-16XL and the Yak-141. So they would give the YF-23 the weapons it was planned to have, just like the F-16XL and Yak-141

There are also munitions in game like the GBU-53/39 and Spice 250 which drop from straight vertical. And those are already the meta cas weapons, so there would be no noticeable change in gameplay.

F-16XL would’ve received AMRAAM had its prototype airframe been completed, which is what we got ingame - what its completed airframe would’ve looked like, not any MLU fits.

The YF-23 was never provably tested with any sort of munitions, so at best it would’ve received the missiles of the time, not any fictional MLU fits, as is in keeping with the F-16XL.

Edit: I should clarify by would be received I meant any future plans, not completion of the airframes - which is why I used Gripen as the example; JSOW is only in future plans at current.
