It should be expected that all current 14.7s will get new missiles. It wouldn’t make sense for something like JAS39C getting Meteor when it is compatible, would be too unbalanced and leave a gaping hole in the Swedish tree.
Of course, some nations lacking 14.7 for now (IIRC it’s only Israel? But that’s easily fixed with Sufa given I-Derby ER or SkySting and upping it/their BR as needed. Do note on that page it notes (verbatim) it can be used on any aircraft, including existing)
Of course, any other nations lacking 14.7 could be solved by then, so…
China, Sweden, US, Israel all lack a 14.7 jet
J15T I believe got put to 14.3 (no idea what they could get at 14.7)
Gripen E (2016) 14.3 (no solution to 14.7)
Pobit and GE is 14.3 (GE could honestly move up)
Israel is just the F15E at 14.0 (Greek Rafale)
China should be receiving something new eventually, probably a J-16 or Su-35.
Sweden’s JAS39E will eventually get Meteor and naturally a BR adjustment as it would carry the most Meteors.
US has F-15C GE, already a 14.7 aircraft just terribly under BR’d.
Israel’s getting a Rank IX aircraft soon. Very possible it could be Rafale.

JAS39E can carry 7. JAS39C can carry up to 4.
Moving the Gripen E up when it’s already underperforming is both a silly decision and also hurts the tree by losing their only 14.3
It’s more likely gaijin adds the current Generation that’s actually in service with Sweden or they get the Brazilian F-39 which is the best model currently on service.
As for the other I have no real comment

Current is 7, SAAB has been looking at a dual pylon mount for the Meteor but only 3D renders for now, doubt we’ll see a dual mount realistically

The other option is the “new” JAS39E which is really just a fixed model one and actually latest JAS39E with Meteors, which is fine and solves that issue.

At this point, what do we have to do to get the Su-30MKI? I’d much prefer that over the Rafale.
Not really, knowing gaijin they wouldn’t change the flight performance and thus the vehicle basically is just the Gripen C version of the Gripen. Where the only difference is the missile, Sweden literally gets screwed over by this choice the most out of any other nation.
I’d rather they add the F-39 or add its dual sensor array to the Gripen given it’s made by SAAB. That way it has something else going for it aside from another 400k to sink for 1 mod which is what the 5th jet we’ve had this on

Though realistically if the community is so worried about Bedish Swias like they seem to think then Sweden gets more Trialed slop we don’t need such as Danish Super Hornet, Danish or Finnish EFT, Finnish Rafale ect ect
