Yeah it seems to be quite a popular name. Raytheon’s Peregrine is meant to be a replacement for AIM-120 on stealth fighters so they can fit more internally.
There’s also the DASAL Peregrine which is a loitering drone munitions being developed also for Turkey.
Only the 79 upgrade kits for their older F-16’s were cancelled, they are still buying around 40 new built F-16V’s.
The cancellation of the kits might have actually been the reason we haven’t seen the AIM-120 triple rack since some sources say that was going to be packaged with the upgrade kits.
Still they were delivered in Turkish Airforce, they didn’t have the chance to go to Turkey because of the S-400, and me personally I believe even if Turkey had F-35s in Turkey when they got the S-400 the Americans would switch a kill switch
So the Turkish Air Force have been delivered 6 F-35s that they can’t fly, can’t use, aren’t allow to take to Turkey and functionally can’t do anything with?
Nahh all this think got ignited again because of the US president saying stuff, but as long as Congress and US allies that uses or have order the fighter are saying no I don’t think it’s up to question
