There’s a kind of crap drawing of the Bucc’s long pointy backwards-teardrop pod being envisaged for Tornado in Panavia’s 1978 brochure. Again it’s between the two TV Martel drawings in the diagram, implying it would be on the centreline pylon as shown in the 1976 page headed M/FM 1171/1009/E from “Annex A to AF/CR 2234/70” (not sure I’m reading the handwriting correctly).
Obviously though, if the Buccaneer datalink pod model doesn’t fit on Tornado model with two TV Martels beside it (should be checked with the Martel launchers added though - in case that affects clearances) it’s a bust and IRL Tornado would have probably needed a bespoke pod with a smaller diameter.
I think it will be impossible to play since no AIM-120’s also means no flares or chaff, and since it’s still an F-16 there’s no way it will be low enough BR to where no flares will not matter. You’ll be constantly facing all aspect missiles which you won’t be able to defeat if their in range.
I read it as only testing with the 120s did it lack the CMs, regardless I still stand by my point. I dislike rules for thee, the US already has plenty of aircraft that benefit from this and gaijin continues to ignore other similar aircraft that need artificial buffs.
If gaijin starts adding those types of fictional or planned things then everything needs to get them, not just a handful, I’m still wanting the planned upgrades and things not tested on the Yak 141 removed as it’s paramount to being fictional.
Not gonna happen I know but I’m tired of gaijin only doing this for big nations and leaving other vehicles that need these types of changes left to rot or completely out of the game.
Every CC is just pushing out BS leak lists rn, I’ve seen 10 different fake lists that they keep posting and saying is real, And everyone in the comments believe it somehow… no matter how fake it seems. Shows how low IQ WT players truly are
