The cap on the ground-launched Starstreak blows off when the missile is launched, so is a debris hazard for air-launch. Is probably a test with a redesigned non-discarding, frangible cover similar to what Martlet has.

Marlet is a development of the Starstreak generally speaking. Its a beam riding / SAL missile like the 9K121 Vikhr.

3kg warhead, good overload performance, multi-functional ammunition, 1.5 Mach. That’s it.

Marlet/LMM is an evolution of the Starburst SAM, which got developed alongside starstreak. HEAT-FRAG warhead with medium pen (~500-600mm is the claim I typically see). ~6 to 7km range.

Not with this major update, as its not something planned or under active consideration for this major update right now. The Wildcat will be the launch platform for this missile for now, which will allow the devs to assess its gameplay inpact before making any decisons about existing vehicles which currently have settled down at their BRs.
