I wish mass actually came into play… then, M829A3 would be the best shell even despite not necessarily having the highest pen, hahah.
I don’t know how realistic/accurate mass coming into play would be, though, not a physics expert xD

42-2 is better + definitely shorter than 3BM46 which I remember being just about as long as 3BM60 so it wouldn’t have a 6.0 second reload

46 has a 6 second reload on the 80Us, but 42-2 is still better than 46;
Also, 42-2 is an actual modern service round designed as a 42 replacement, as oppossed to 46 being a 1990s round with a limited run; so it makes more sense for the 2020s MBTs chronologically and historically.

This change is such a W for every top tier tank, but especially for the BVM, Strv 122s and Abrams.

122s are now uncontestedly the best tanks in the entire game despite the horrible thermals, and BVM can now trade some mm of pen for a full 6 second reload.
Regarding the Abrams; M829A2 is actually a better shell than M829A3 (145 m/s slower) in general, while M829A3 is better ONLY in dealing with Kontakt-5 armored tanks;
That’s why it’s great to be able to pick between A2 and A3 now. If you are facing Russia, use A3; if not, use A2.
Although, truth to be said, I may just use A3 in general as to not lose “muzzle speed muscle memory”, hahah.
All in all, I’m glad that 2020s MBTs finally have functional stock shells instead of utterly obsolete ones.

Good now fix the radar, the Turret, the actual mobility values, I can keep going on. Its a small victory but a great majority of bugs still need to be addressed like the fact the radar is meant to shoot drones yet it can’t unless they come within .6km
If the radar and the missiles don’t get fixed all that’s happened is you have a slightly better vehicle for running away since you struggle to lock on to targets

Why did they get DM53? I’m waking up pretty late since it’s about 3 rn why did things get new ammo?
So the Strvs get new ammo but the CV90120 is still broken and left to rot, mega sad moment I couldn’t care less about the Leos

In the CV90s case and how often gaijins love to just add random weight 20t is too small 40 minimum for smoke launchers, APS is 100 easy
