Yeah COIN will be a big factor in infantry.
Also to an extent gunships too, both the helicopter and AC-130 kind but those are dependent on balancing the AA and the gunships themselves.

Why stop at a squad wipe? Just delete the town with a MOAB.

Hopefully we get ground target lasers emitters and ways to mark GPS targets so aircraft in infantry can be given targets you got like less then a second on target. Hopefully you can put a target marker though a window and tell CAS to nuke a building because there is a sniper in there.

Would be cool but there is absolutely no chance it wouldn’t be used on friendly forces.
You’re up high thinking they’ve lasered a group of enemy tanks but instead they’re pointing it at a gaggle of teammates or better yet just a single poor guy sniping at the back of the map not knowing there’s a paveway headed for his forehead.

Practice munitions have found a home in urban battles because you can have friendly next door calling in strikes. Prevents the whole hugging your enemy strategy from being as effective. Has been used to clear a room next door at times its meant to have precision though its not 100% safe but better then 1000kg of explosives going off next door. Same with practice tank shell can remove sniper or MG post without collapsing building.
FYI if there is a bomb size there is a concrete version of it. Even Missiles and rockets.
can be abused but that is what reports are for Gaijin can make a system to find trolls and not punish accidents. Team kills are bad but being a troll with it violates the rules. Basically laser target or GPS target gets dropped by friendly’s to often (patern) then you can argue them to be banned.
Also the point would be to prevent sniper meta not getting bogged down because a guy barred a door and can camp in a window 80% safe.
Don’t forget white phosphorus (we got it in game already 😉)
