Okay I was already questioning myself. When people said that those 5mm thick steel sheets were roll over bars you can bet that I was staring at my monitor for a bit XD
There’s a TankCraft modeller’s reference book on Scimitar that has a photo mislabelling the mast as a ROPS. So it has sort of passed into common acceptance, despite being wrong.
The book has quite a few mislabelled images and incorrect bits of info about the post-LEP upgrades - maybe the editors switched some images for copyright reasons and kept the captions. But there’s some nice stuff in the book as well.

It was generally quite good today. I was very fortunate enough to go up and check it for myself in a very special aircraft this afternoon. Certainly an experience I wont be forgetting.

Has anyone experienced this bug? the camera is all weird and unmovable, and you can’t turn the turret around or anything

I keep getting ads promoting Inf so I mean algorithm
I keep getting ads to play war thunder, I mean don’t they already know I play war thunder but yeah the one ad that I kept getting is the F-14 one and the F-5C lol
Is the camera view in the radar screen for SPAAs meant to be as dark as it is currently
Aircraft in the normal optic are far far brighter in contrast to the background, making them really clear
But in the radar panel, its much darker, with far lower contrast

This is the Stormer HVM with excellent optics and even at 4km the target is not that clear, especially on such a small “screen”
If this is switched to something with much lower resolution optics, with far less zoom such as the Rapier. Aircraft are practically invisible in this view.

and thats with clear weather, with clouds behind… its basically impossible to see
So
- Any possibility of increasing the contrast on this panel to match what it is in the main optic at least
- Increasing magnification, maybe enabling digital magnification for the radar screen.
It would be nice if you could more reliably actually see the aircraft or what your weapons are doing, when operating within the radar panel
