Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

(This is a CR2 LFP one I eyeballed, 50% joke 50% serious xD. I just can’t help but to think this should not possibly be taking nearly 3 years by now when in Dev Servers spall liners have been added to new vehicles in a matter of days after a bug report.)

Quick, do one for the 2PL now

get a job application into gajin and get to work fam

I wouldn’t even need to do one, as it’s the exact same as other Leopards already have, so it would be ctrl+c, ctrl+v xD

Its a slightly more complicated process and implementation than just throwing something together in a 3D modelling software.

The answer was also regarding the Scimitar Mk 2 report and the ongoing event. Not other reports.

I am genuinely curious to know more about it!

I unironically would offer myself as a tribute to add all confirmed but yet missing spall liners in the game. No charges needed, for free, I mean it! If I can contribute a bit to the game, it would be a pleasure.

Those reports that have been going on for 2-3 years? I’m willing to do it all for free, if I can, kinda like some sort of creators’ program of the sort. Whatever it is it takes to model them, I’m sure it can’t possibly take 2-3 years to do it, when some new vehicles have had them modelled barely days after being reported.

In those cases, it was due to them already coming in. Take the T-90M for example. Its commonly believed that a single low quality report lead to them coming to the game in a matter of days. In reality, spall liners were a feature planned to come, and several vehicles were going to get them that update. The T-90 as initially shown was incomplete, as many new vehicles are. The spall liners for it were already being worked on before the report was even created.

We often tell people its better to report something missing than not at all, and it was the same case here. Public reports are linked to internal ones or existing tasks. So that when it is finished, we can close the report as fixed, but the matter was publicly tracked and traceable too.

This doesn’t just apply to spall liners, but a huge variety of things reported during dev servers.

This is the difference. They are making their spall liners the correct shape with exact dimensions and in the correct position in the vehicle (both angle amd actual position) which might not be spelled out exactly in documents.

Well, that would be a whole lot easier having the 3D model asset of the vehicle, which I don’t have, obviously. If I had the CR2 model, I would be able to make the missing spall liners impeccably accurate by the millimiter.

In those cases, of course! Rather I meant cases in which spall liners weren’t even acknowledged before reports.

In any case, I still can’t wrap around my head how Leopard 2PL or Challenger 2 (specially after its presumably complete rework) are still missing them after 2-3 years of being “accepted”. In any case, I will try to avoid raging too much about it anymore for now, hahah. It is too often that I give in to it and I know it’s off-topic, so I am glad you have the patience to take the time to reply a few times even then.

Hi, is it possible that we could get any information regarding the U.S. getting a 14.7 aircraft by the end of this year? If not I understand.

We still have 3 more major updates before the end of the year. So you will need to stay tuned to the relevant news and announcements for each of those updates I’m afraid. A long way to go before we reach the end of the year yet :)

…and, if I am not mistaken, the next round of Dev Blogs is about 3 weeks away!

As much as I rage about modern MBT issues, I must say, as an enthusiast of such vehicles, that this update definitely felt like a breath of fresh air for us after a long drought of them.

And, if I recall correctly, you (or someone else?) teased that some other nations would be getting more MBTs the following update after this one! So I am already looking forward to it… (hopefully, regenerative steering is coming soon too :P)

Smin, when will the next iteration of nuclear esculation come again ?

i havent been here in a while any updates on anything to do with the challengers

Inb4 Gaijin soon raises the top air br to 15.0, and then adds a US 14.7 aircraft, which still fulfills what you requested to the letter but not the spirit of having a top br plane.

Wouldn’t the F-15EX be 15.0 material? Since yall keep saying the Giggle is 14.7 material

Gotta leave them breathing room of 0.3 br to ask for the F-22
