I don’t know the proper Gaijin reasonings, but I think it’s because they have serious issues with space. Compared to Israel where there is two fully empty lines, the UK tree already fills all lines to some extent and this makes a full South African line difficult.
They could always add vehicles where there is space, like they did for the Gripen, but these will always have to “compete” with vehicles from the UK, and even India and Australia for who actually gets the space.
Personally I think there’s ways to work around this and even fix it entirely, but I think Gaijin so far don’t, so they are overly cautious about how they use the space.

Yeah they said there would be a month long break after the Spitfire Float event.
My guess is the next event will be announced either end of this week or next week.

hopefully event comes very soon, need to grind and sell it for premium time (since its the only way this game is playable), and im not spending real money to these greedy lazy devs

Ouch. It is at times like this where I think I wouldn’t mind a bit more flexibility in ground vehicle implementation criteria’s, much like air.
Like, why can demonstrator and prototype planes be fitted with missiles and radars they were only planned to come with in the eventuality of being produced, but not tanks?
