Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Is there any possibility we could see the F15EX in the near future?

Maybe.

it would be nice having an AESA vehicle in the US tree but I have a slight suspicion that Gaijin is waiting for a comparable or “better” russian thing before adding it.

Nah, not in the next 20 Years, because everytime people mentioned that plane it will be pushed back by 1 Major Patch
:3

You already have 2 aesa planes.

And no, russia is not a excuse to not add it.

Even so. Current plane are better than the Ex

Indeed. Well, Panther D, at least, is less user friendly because of the 0.017º/s turret rotation speed. The better Panthers are more comfortable; however, like Tiger E, they are of a higher BR, which would find them in a far less comfortable matchmaking. 5.7 is probably one of the last WW2 BRs not to be creeped with too much Cold War stuff. At 6.0, facing 7.0s can be pretty frustrating already.

In my opinion, the Two Fronts pack is one of the very best articles in the Gaijin store, quality and price wise both, and I got it myself the moment it was announced despite having all of Germany grinded just to play the Tigers, despite being primarily a Top Tier player, hahah.

would be cool to see that in the future, however 7.7 is full enough for britain.

maybe those Scimitars still in the files?

The Firefly is the only vehicle in the pack that participated in Overlord, neither the Avenger or Crusader AA Mk II took part.

The Centurions are at the same BR as the American pack (6.0), and the pack could have just been placed at Rank III while the tech tree Centurion remained at rank IV? It is not unusual for premiums and tech tree vehicles to be different ranks, again, to use the American pack as an example, the Skink is a rank IV vehicle in the tech tree while being moved down to rank III to fit in the pack.

Obviously this is all water under the bridge now, but its just yet another example of a lack of thought being put into British additions.

Crusader AAs very much were part of the Normandy Landings. As the closest equivalent we have in game, the Mk II is most fitting. The exact variant is not required if the current in game candidate is sufficiently close enough.

All of the tanks in all 3 current packs take inspiration from real vehicles without being directly based on a spesific one. So this is perfectly in keeping with that.

The Avenger, as already mentioned, suited the given BR and Rank perfectly with the Firefly and Crusader. So it could be visually represented with an appropriate appearance to match.

The Skink is on the boundary of what can be considered for Rank III. Hence it being possible for consideration to move down to Rank III. This has not been done on the tree version currently to avoid a whole in the line for both the British and American ones, until such a time when suitable vehicles have expanded the tree.

The Centurion being 6.0, which in the British tree, is not close to the range for consideration to go down is not suitable for Rank III. Thus the comparison here is not the same. Different trees have different BR ranges for ranks. As previously explained.

Very much the opposite. Lots of consideration goes into each one, factoring in line-ups, ranks, suitable BRs. Several configurations of packs were considered for Britain. With this being the most optimum for the given Rank BR and gameplay.

The Centurions are very much Rank IV tanks, which as already explained, was not the rank these initial packs were aimed at.

still really weird to include a post ww2 TD with two ww2 era ones in a pack named after operation overlord.

A challenger without APDS would have fitted much better as it actually took part.

(also the skink would have been a better pick for SPAA if it was at a more logical BR for such a piece of trash, either that or add a centaur AA)

This doesn’t change the fact that two out of three vehicles in the ‘Overlord’ pack did not take part in Overland, so to defend the content of the pack saying it was themed around D-Day is extremely questionable no matter how you try and twist the vehicles.

This is just an imaginary line to draw in the sand. Other trees (and other 3-vehicle packs) have got 6.0 vehicles in Rank 3 that see plenty of play, like the Tiger E and Hellcat. To have the content of the British 3-vehicle pack be prevented from being on-par with the other packs purely because of the completely arbitrary structure of the British tree in terms of ranks is just nonsensical?

The Challenger still formed part of the pack in terms of insperation.

Examples such as this were inspiration for the externals of the Avenger

The Avenger being the same BR and Rank as the Firefly however made it the more logical choice.

The theme is the driving force of the appearance of the tanks and general setting, not the only limiting factor.

Sorry to disturb the topic but I have a question, how was this report “not a bug”?

The US F-15E should be equipped with the Spice missile series // Gaijin.net // Issues

My understanding is that weapons for foreign variants of an aircraft are open for suggestions, we have several aircraft ingame that have received weapons from foreign variants.

I wonder if we’ll get a new issue of CM next week.

Last year, it was August 14th.
