So I’ve been thinking, looking at the reaction it clear that people would want the Indonesia and Malaysian variant of it.
While they can rightfully ask for it but in tern this creates that same old argument of “Gaijin adding more C&P” since well it would seem like it at first and it’s been one of the main issues people had a gripe with gaijin this year so far.
I think in this update only the Australian variant should come since it’s a unique aircraft to them while a future Indonesia and Malaysian variant should come in a later update

@Smin1080p_WT sorry if you answered it already but are there any news on when is nuclear thunder or its new iteration coming back? I remember the devblog said couple weeks when it was ending just wanted to know if we have a more concrete timeline already

I would be surprised if it’s not here by Monday because they said it‘lol come back in 1.5-2 weeks after the last event ended which lines up with July 20th for 2 weeks.

Why? They didn’t do that with other jets? Besides we’ve already had nations get the better versions of jets before the main nation.

By that logic the Australian M1A2 should have been delayed to the september update.

Well don’t blame me, the community want less of these “C&P” vehicles in these updates.
They can’t ask for the same jet’s in other trees and then in the same breath complain how much gaijin like to add C&P into their updates

This. F-86F-40 exists as a Japanese solution, which also gets AIM-9Bs. The only difference between them would be the existence of Swiss rockets and presumably 7 shot FFAR pods.
And the tree has Alpha Jet for ground attack. So yeah, Japanese tree doesn’t need this. UK however, does not have a 9.0 at all
They should just move the R2Y2’s out of the TT lines and into the Premium/Event tab, like they did with the Maus.

Different people. The ones who complain C&P all the time are not the ones that want national imports.
I’d even say a large part of the loudest C&P complainers still don’t like the CA-27 in general because it’s called Sabre and “any Sabre is still C&P”.

The Swiss rockets are the Indonesian modification to the CA-27s, not the only difference to the F-86F-40. Compared to that it’s still very different, with the more powerful engine, redesigned fuselage, larger air intake, 30mm cannons and non-slatted wing.
A tree can have more than one vehicle at a BR. For example the 8.7-9.3 range has 6 (11 when counting premiums) vehicles in the British tree, while Japan has 2 (3 counting premiums), with two whole lines in rank 6 completely empty. So game balance is absolutely not an issue even if “there is already 9.0”.
Keep in mind nobody is competing here, Australia is 100% getting at least one variant of the CA-27 (hopefully two for Mk.30 and 32) no matter if Indonesia/Malaysia get theirs, because they already announced it.
Also these are Indonesian and Malaysian aircraft, nations that currently have representation only at 13.3+ (Malaysia) or as a single premium aircraft (Indonesia), so they are absolutely lacking the representation the same way that Australia does as a nation seen individually instead of just as a supplier for the UK/Japan trees.
