The game distributed so many good low tier vehicles around 2022 that I unfortunately have missed. I am trying to collect as many Italian vehicles (for free) as I can but like don’t have any of these.
And I skipped some BPs during summers too

Packs seem to be better priced as well, which is a nice bonus.
As for the initial introduction to the different game types you can buy, I went with the top one myself. The game / Developers are getting a lot of grief for no real reason.
Sure, there are issues, but most of it comes down to people not taking the time to sort out their bindings. It works perfectly fine with HOTAS setups and similar gear, it’s just easier for some players to blame the developer instead of putting in a bit of effort.
Yeah a lot of people are complaining about the controls not working right out of the box which is easily fixed for the most part by mapping the controls yourself. But I have seen a few valid complaints.
- No trackIR support.
- VR performance issues on higher end systems.
- VR hand controls for flaps and gear not working with some planes.
- Planes being locked behind a paywall after a big selling point was that you just pay for the base game everything else is free.
- Planes having insane grinds for secondary armaments.
- General rendering of targets being poor, (same issue found in Sim where enemies are just a small blob until 1km away or ground units being straight up invisible most of the time.)
- WW1 being a main feature but it’s just 1 map and 4 planes.
- Matchmaking started off with putting 1 player into bot lobbies now turned into 30 minute queue time where a handful of players get put into one team and a single player is on the other.
- No actual tutorial.
- Skins and decals locked being an RNG daily task system.
- Some genuine issues with the controls like a lot of the axis not functioning correctly on some setups. (I’ve had this myself, everything has had to be inverted. Worse was setting up my rudder pedals, my rudder and toe brake axis’ are inverted along with my right toe brake having to be mapped to the left brake and vice versa.)
Those are just from the top of my head and although I did enjoy the game on release day I do have to agree with them, especially about the matchmaking issues it’s gone from one extreme to another. The game just feels rushed after 2+ years of development and being delayed for a year.
In my honest opinion the focus that went into Aces should have been redirected into War Thunder’s VR mode and the mechanics and ideas incorporated directly into War Thunder and not made into a separate game.

maybe it will be a flop and we can have the VR improvements into WT, you never know
Like don’t get me wrong I was excited for this game seeing as something with the VR controls of VTOL and the models of WT which sounds great in theory but the actual product they delivered feels nothing like what was promised.
I would definitely like to see this game succeed but given all it’s issues and the fact that this is still Gaijin we are talking about I feel like it would be better to salvage it for WT.

You kinda had to. With the turret basket nerf, you were forced to learn how to play smarter or you just don’t play it.
