Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

I mean, people very much have previously. Multiple times

I was also clarifying on this:

So that people adjust their expectations properly that a sub trees existence does not mean literally everything can / will / may automatically just come.

Alright, now I really just want to know how that is different from any nation?

For example even nations that have distinct techtrees don’t automatically have all vehicles, and likely will never have all. Bit if their vehicles are added, they will go to their tree.
So if I want an F-22, I know to play the US tree. Not because it’s guaranteed to be added, but because if it is that’s where to find it.

Now, subtrees really, as far as I undestand (and hope) they work are just nations added not in a separate techtree, but alonside an existing nation. So aside from not having the techtree named, wouldn’t they share an equal position in said tree and treated as a faction simply containing both?

I do like this answer though. Mainly because this is very respectful towards manufacturing nations while still keeping possibilities open for others before top tier and at top tier with the necessity given.
This is a great concept, like how the Su-30MKM was added alongside the Su-30SM2 to keep the interest for Russia.

Hey hey, so when TOW HMMWV?

no sub trees exist to supplement a tree and fix its weakness its not there to act as another tree for the nation hence the whole “sub” part of subtree

Its not different at all. That’s exactly the point. I was simply clarifying the point yet again due to a common misunderstanding people have for any sub tree, but that extends to nations too.

A sub tree is never going to overtake the main nation, if thats what you mean. Sub trees are generally added as sub tree for 2 reasons. 1) They cant support a full standalone tree by themselves without themself needing a sub tree of their own 2) They offer a gameplay / BR / playstyle gap or unique set of vehicles, now or in the future, to that nation and to the game as a whole that would otherwise not be possible to represent (as they could not have a standalone tree).

I always read subtree in a techtree context, so instead of meaning X nation under Y nation it’s X and Y nations as subsections of the same techtree.

Exactly monitored by how much cash it is making

the only time it was like that was with the UK and SA but that was killed when the SA line became the light tank line, besides that no one section of a tree in any tree is for a sub nation

Hungary is still with us my friend

That’s good to hear then.

I mean with less content to add available that’s pretty much a given unless Gaijin start adding subtrees with more content than the current techtree. But at that point they will probably not become subtrees anyways.

So not obertaking the main nation doesn’t contradict treating them equal within the scope of their level of options.
Only issue is now we lack the space to do it without hindering the main nation, but that’s nothing that can’t be fixed with a bit of effort.

possibly a hot take, but I prefer the new (current) version.

my main dislike is more of a game wide change of removing verticality to the play areas of maps

That is fair, although in the case of this map it was poorly done verticality.

That version of Sinai was always “you either are fighting on the hill or you are just free RP for people on the hill”.
