The Attacker designations skipped the A-11, A-13, A-15, A-17 and then jumped from the (F/)A-18 to the A-29 and A-37 after that
The bombers went from B-1 and B-2 straight to B-21
The Fighter designations skipped the F-13 and F-19. They also kinda cheated by giving their Aggressor Squad Kfirs the F-21 designation.

they gave the proposed Indian block 70’s the name F-21
they skipped 13 because unlucky number, and 19 because they didnt want it to be associated with the MiG-19 iirc

The F-35 kinda makes sense in so much as X-35 was the next X number available for the concept demonstrator, and when the final aircraft was made, they decided to just change the X to an F, rather than give it a completely different designation.

That is NOT long anticipated bud. It’s just some niche aircrafts that only serve to look good, there’s some far more unique vehicles missing
F-16B to fill the gap for italy since the ADF went up (ADF should still get all its A2G but doesnt coz y’know)
