Japans tree is now much more diverse and flexable from Rank V onwards, with significantly more options and a multitude of gaps filled.

And as I said, we follow requests from the community as a whole. Not any one individual or thread. But a far larger picture.
The largest requests from the community for the Japanese tree have been implemented over the last couple of years.
Iirc Hungarian Strela and PzH2000HU, a year ago.
The main issue with Hungary and other subtrees is that they don’t care much about their representations, they are used just to fill gaps. Hungary’s filled major gaps in the Italian TT, now more of their vehicles are out of priority. The brightest example is probably Hungarian air line and its first half. Romania is in even worse position, almost exclusively coming only as premium/events.

Yeah, and despite 2 sub-TT’s Italy usually get 1 vehicle per update which is going to be ground or air.
Indias latest addition was about nine months ago
South Africas and Finlands latest additions were half a year ago
BeNeLux’ latest addition was about three months ago

Unfortunately, Japanese vehicles are being ignored. Two premium vehicles are a pathetic result and a huge disappointment. Furthermore, no Japanese vehicles have been added to the CAS reinforcements, no Japanese helicopters have been added, and due to a lack of information, almost the last heavy tank for Japan has been blocked. I have no interest in the top tier, and therefore nothing new is being added. This is very disappointing.

Yeah, if you don’t like top tier - playing with one-death-leavers while facing fully spaded premiums in your stock TT vehicle, you will have no place in War Thunder anymore. Nothing new being added, with even Infantry being top tier.
At this point, remove WWII from the game and add it to Enlisted and make it 2 different types of Enlisted games.

Requests met? Only partially. The request for CAS vehicles was only half-fulfilled. Aircraft were added from 7.7, and the planes below were completely ignored. There’s a huge gap between 2.3 and 7.7. New, good-armored tanks – the T-84 was added, nothing more. Only the Gajin managed to achieve this with the new Spaa, although the Type 81 was initially disappointing (especially when its BR was constantly upgraded because people couldn’t fight something without radar). I think these are the main requests from the community.
If they keep fleshing up the Malaysian air tree and add the Indonesian one, these gaps can be filled

The main requests going back to previous years were expanding Japans higher rank options and on including more sub tree options (Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia). Both of which have been actively implemented. Along with other things planned.

I know it’s not your fault, it’s Gajin’s, but these “the community wanted it” lines, and seeing half the game being completely ignored (likely below 8.0), are making me lose interest in playing this game. I’ve probably wasted about 3,000 hours on this game (1,000 in-game and about 2,000 on the forum), and I’m really starting to regret writing all 200 of my suggestions.

Any updates on CVT?
One of the largest requests I’ve seen for JPN Ground is subtrees but also Type 10 transmission, which is CVT. Without it, it overturns and doesn’t accelerate as fast as it should.

Snail has not released a roadmap since 2024. Do you think we will be able to see a roadmap in 2026 that includes various Gaijin plans, including the ones you mentioned? As far as I know, there was no roadmap for 2025.
Those would both be part of the larger steering tests mentioned by BVV in the video Q&A (as this will also involve transmissions to a degree).
However its still too early for details currently.
