The GR1 we currently have already is “early-ish” with the bad engines
I’d much rather have the Jaguar IM than the GR3A, as it has much more interesting features to offer
I’m not gonna lie, a proxy-less Rapier would propably end up being better against helis and certain planes. The proxy really hurts the Rapier

Not really, unless they gave the current GR1 Mk103 engines. It should also sit at 11.3 which would at least be something, well, unless they fix the BRs at long last. But that hasnt stopped them from doing so for both Italy and Germany and without the engine changes Britain has.
I did wonder if a GR1 with Aim-9Gs for a notably lower BR would be quite interesting, especially from a base bomber PoV, but im on the fence about that.
The main reason I want it is for the carpet bomber with our 10.X ground line up. Like the Germans and Italians can do. KInda annoying we cant yet.
Im hoping for 9Ls actually, maybe 11.0 or even 10.7 (assuming the GR1A finally moved down a bit). With its upgrades, it would be a chill base bomber for that BR range, much like the Buc S2B is, but a lot faster.
Maybe, Though Id still hope for a full one
i’ve never found it to be an issue really, apart from the first month or so, i’ve had quite a good time in it with good success

Dunno, I still get times where the missile does next to no damage thanks to the proxy fuze.
It can work well tho, definitely. Not nearly as bad as it was initially!

I usually one shot in it, sometimes 2, its been quite consistent for me, i find it better than the Strela overall

For me it really depends on the target.
Helis are my worst nightmare, planes usually get killed by the first or second hit
i have spent a great deal of time getting my aim down for it though, people rarely evade it when i shoot unless they hide behind terrain
could just be a difference in aiming
its a similar case with the Osa where i’ve had to dogfight the enemy plane with my missile
