To be fair, it’s not like he hasn’t seen the leaks, so wouldn’t he risk embarrassing himself if it came out this year? Unless he know Gaijin changed plans after the leak.
I like this one but like you said, there’s nothing too crazy. Wouldn’t mind some more squadron liveries for every plane though, that’s what most fighter liveries are after all

Leaks as a whole have been banned on here
Even if he wouldn’t get embarrassed it still doesn’t answer why would he confidently state that he believes it won’t come for over a year after already seeing the leaks? His answer is newer than the leaks keep in mind.
Doesn’t change anything when he can still read.
My guess is we will get the Block 70’s before the EX. The EX should be the last step before 5th gens in my opinion. Or maybe something like the Have Glass 5 F-16’s (possibly with AESA if one of them has gone through PoBIT) or F-15E1 (SE tech demonstrator) as a stealth lite update to trial stealth/low observability on actual fighter platforms before jumping straight into 5th gens.
Or maybe something like the F/A-18XT Advanced Super Hornet since that did fly and was armed with further plans if it ever went into production or the Block 3 which would incorporate the XT upgrades after that program ended.

I mean regardless, everything hints towards F-22/5th Gen this year, Oxy’s statement is the only thing that comes in the way, I’m not buying it…

I don’t see a loaders hatch either. Actually, I don’t see a commanders hatch as well. I think it might have a crewless turret
