Still not buying the “no 5th gen this year” statement

There was no such statement. Oxy was specifically answering on the F-22.

The only statement made on 5th gen as a whole was this one last year:

The game already has the first iconic examples of 4+ and 4++ generation aircraft, but we plan to add a few more of these aircraft to different research trees before moving on to 5th generation aircraft.
