Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

spikes work perfect with me. but i didnt play it long enough to judge it

Spikes are garbage tbh, theres a 1/5 if even that that the missle actually does good damage even less for a 1 shot kill unless its a helicopter

The post you responded to said 11.3 for BMPT.

TOW-2A and BMPT’s missile are both 800mm.

Is the Ataka not 1000? Oh well thats fair

The slow RoF (200-300rpm) seems to have decent dispersion, however the second it goes towards the 550rpm figure, it goes downhill very fast - yet in-game it has the same max dispersion as a weapon that had its’ fire-rate downrated to be more accurate (even at 550rpm the MK 30-20/ABM was more accurate than BMPT at the same rpm but still…)

Just as a comparison, BMP-2M (Which has better dispersion than BMPT irl btw) has a max dispersion of circa >1.5m (visible impact, it’s possible that some missed the target area entirely) at 1100m, which is approx. 0.0785° (ingame-disp is 0.08°).

Distance: 1100m
Target-Area: 3x3m
RoF: Standard, 550rds/min
Vehicle: BMP-2M

Puma is rated at =/< 0.5mil (NATO), which is 0.028125° - ingame it’s 0.08°
(0.028125° corresponds to ca. <= 0.54m at 1100m)

Fun fact, initially the 2A42 and 2A72 cannons (specifically caused by the muzzle-brakes) had severe issues with firing the 3UBR8 (APDS-T) sub-calibre projectile, which resulted in the max dispersion going from ca. 0.28m to >1m at a distance of just 100m.

tbh in game the bmpt doesnt have that much difference in low Rpm compare to the hight Rpm

@SilentTracker i dare you to play it in low rpm

Is the fireworks effect of the fireworks decorator planned to be disabled soon?
If not, is it at least planned to be turned into a fictional decorator?

If you are referring to the dispersion then you are right, as the maxDeltaAngles (i.e. maximum angular deviation from aim-point) is set for the gun at any rpm and not for individual RoF modes.

But otherwise uuh
200 vs 550 rpm is a massive difference lol
200 rpm := 3.33 rounds per second (ingame-value)
550 rpm := 9.16 rounds per second (ingame-value, otherwise it’d be 9.167)

(low RoF mode is 200rpm and high RoF mode is 550rpm ingame)

Can we ban FnF helis from heli PvE just like modern planes are banned from the Air Assault mode?

Or at least use some BR matchmaking in that mode…
How are people supposed to grind helis and heli modules in that mode if some Z-10ME or AH-64E just hovers in the middle of the map and instantly sends a full barrage to every new AI spawn?

From what I’ve heard the KF-21 for Indonesia wouldn’t be 5th gen, at least not in any way that’s currently rumored.
What they might get is a prototype (Block 1 equivalent?) since they were contributors to the project and there is iirc still considerations to transfer the fifth prototype to Indonesia, and possible KF-21 Block 2 (adds ground attack capability) if they actually end up buying them. The first 5th gen KF-21 would be Block 3.

That being said if you want another 5th gen for the list, the domestic 5th gen F-X would count as unfinished prototype, so it’s a nice way to add some more variety to a rank that’ll probably be 80% F-35s (I wonder what similar projects there are for other nations)

Not sure how there could be a KF-21 that wouldn’t be fifth gen

As for the F-X, I don’t think that would currently count as an unfinished prototype, as the project hasn’t really been “cancelled”, plus, there is no way to tell what weapons it would have carried

KF-21 is not a 5th gen, it’s advertised as 4.5th gen fighter. The later Block 3 is meant to implement things like fully internal weapons bays (rather than just recessed) and a lot of other adjustments to reduce radar return and make it a proper 5th gen fighter.

It was cancelled. Instead of going through with developing a 5th gen fighter which had reached significant progress a new development was started towards a 6th generation fighter. While this was initially starting based on 5th gen F-X designs, it wasn’t really a continuation. For example the general airframe that for the 5th gen had reached a rather consistent point based on the latest 26DMU design was again restarted with further DMUs resulting in an entirely new design for this new aircraft.

5th gen F-X (26DMU design)

6th gen F-X (new design)

Now I would argue 6th gen F-X wasn’t cancelled though, since it was directly merged with GCAP, but arguing about 6th gen aircraft seems a bit early now

True but knowing gaijin they could still add these jet’s along the lines of variety and content, at least Indonesia still has a strong connection to the Kf-21 even if they don’t consider using it in irl gaijin might just add it nonetheless. I don’t know about the KAAN though since from my research that a pure Turkish project

KF-21 currently lacks a weapons bay at least the first versions which is probably what Indonesia will get

As for the KF21, I guess with how the fighter generation “system” works them calling their fighter a 4.5th gen makes it a 4.5th gen. (Not trying to be snarky or anything btw)
It feels extremely weird to call a fighter that is planned to enter service in 2026 a 4.5th gen, especially when they apparently advertise the KF21EX as a “5.5+ gen”.

As for the F-X, I actually wasn’t aware that there was a seperate F-X project before the current one. The ones I was aware of are the i3 Fighter and the ATD-X/X-2 and neither one of them resulted in something that could be added to WT.

Now, looking at the F-X suggestion on the forum, I don’t think that that F-X would (currently) be an option in Gaijins eyes. It is highly likely that it might make an appearance later on though, basically when content is running too thin lol

Afaik a plane can lack certain features of the “common” features list and still be considered as part of a generation

This reminds me, didn’t Northrop call the B-21 “the first 6th generation aircraft”, as if that meant anything?

To be honest the difference is mostly marketing and whatever arbitrary line different manufacturers draw between “stealth” and “low visibility”, I’m not even sure how much it will even mean in game

Wait both the Kf-21 and KAAN Indonesia has a significant claim because of there stock shares, I thought it was just the Kf-21

Su-35 and J-10B are also still considered xP
