That KD from before update. And the reason why this thing still got a kill thx to Su30MK2 and F-18C (Early) that flying straight without maneuver or just climbing high like nothing.
its the only SPAA that can hit targets flying low beyond 10km seems pretty good

The reason so simple, because these people even not trying to change direction when IRIS-T in IOG state. These people just flying straight. Evading this missile while this missile still in IOG state much easier since it doesnt have their own radar like any ARH missile. And the speed is not that too fast like any toptier SPAA at same BR. Ah and pre flare still working too against this missile.
its has a 40km range and right now the ARH sams dont have DL so the moment they are fired they are relying on their own radars meaning most of the time they miss not to mention the safety bubble that is multipathing
the IRST SLM is still the best SAM at top tier

40km just a gimmick compared 70km BUK M3. my best kill so far only 31km, my target F-111F and my missile already too slow at that range actually. Thx to that F-111F he himself come to my IRIS-T.
the tiger uht was added as an in service vehicle while the yak141 is added as a βwhat if it went into serviceβ
same goes for the kikka or XF5U
you know the stat card ranges of 70km and 100km of the BUK and ASTRA-30 mean nothing when the enemy spawns 25km away right?

Well seems like you never test new SPAA real range. So far only BUK M3 can really reach 70km with still at high speed. while other NATO stuff only works at 20-30km (30km is the best but very rare case).
As testing target, we use hovering target flying at same altitude, and the max range limit for the missile. And only BUK M3 really works so far.
I have Sky Sabre and Ive had kill out at 39km before (the max range is 45km) I reguarly kill targets in the 20-30 km range window so no its not some russian Bias thing and I have seen IRIST SLM pretty reguarly get kills out at 20+km hell some of the best CAS players ive seen all say the IRIST SLM is the only threat at top tier because of multi pathing
Can this awful jet drop to 14.0 or even 13.7 since it isnβt a meaningful upgrade over the normal F-15C if you arenβt going to buff it?
Like I said, this missile really easy to evade as long pre flare, or change direction while in IOG state. This missile DL doesnβt work anyway. Drop a single bomb, or throw small rocket will change this missile target. I donβt want to amke this thread as IRIS-T SLM stuff. Just go to the right thread.
Should be foldered with the MSIP II to be honest, the only things it has is BOL (which is about as useful and throwing matches out the window) and the radar which definitely shouldnβt put it up there with the pther 14.3βs.
I never ran out of CMs on the MSIP and the radar is more than good enough on it. Both these upgrades are useless to me. And the C-5 is also useless since you are not beating F-15Es and EFTs to the ISS anyway. Such a disappointing plane.
