Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

oh no I fully agree, I do feel bad for sweden and china tho, shame they have to get caught in the cross fire but its just kinda how warthunder is and has been, hopefully we get the E and J-10C this update (would be funny seeing america and russia at the bottom of the food chain even if it were only an update)

Ima be honest, I know nothing about naval or air. I just watch controversies unfold and spew when I choose to. The most disgusting controversy at the moment is that fact that we don’t have any jeeps or HMMWVS (anti air is so situational I am not gonna count the CLAWS).

Exactly, so Malaysia in Japan would add a new (worse but cool looking) hornet.

it would also add another Su-30

the Su-30MKM

Yeah, would be cool, though I have no idea what is special about it compared to the others Flanker-H

A fairly unique one with quite a few different systems like MAWs, GBU integration and the NATO style IFF bird slicer on the nose.

There’s a great suggestion for it with more detail

It gets MAW, LWR and different A2G iirc

Is it really a bird slicer?

It looks like it slices birds, so I’d say it qualifies. I think it’s a French system

no they are just called like that

any bird would just disintegrade if it hits a jet flying at high speeds

doing alot of damage in the process

Additionally to the Suggestion; the Cockpit also a bit different in detail, as I figured not too long ago

That’s what I thought but when he said bird slicers I thought maybe the shape was intended to cut the birds ao they do less damage to the cockpit. Wouldn’t be very efficient though I assume, so yeah

Flanker with MICAs when xD
Oh wait that’s the MKI

Su-30MKI cant use the MICA

it can use the ASRAAM tho

I have a mighty need

Ah, guess I misread the question then. I thought you meant if it’s the same “bird slicer” IFF used on the F-16 (APX-109).

It can, it was tested afaik

There are reports of the MKI having MICAs tested. Sadly, no images were shown, as tests like those arent photographed iirc

But yea, an inert ASRAAM was mounted
