Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

That is the most roundabout way of thinking I have seen on these forums and that is saying something.

You sir, got a good laugh out of me.

Dunno, Spearhead is pretty balanced in terms of additions and had some very neat additions in terms of ground vehicles
Tusk Force also was very ground heavy

So like… there was a leak that the Chinese are getting the abrams next patch?
Then… What is going to happen with Thai vehicles? Is Thailand getting their Thai vehicles as well, or is it a one way show?

It was bad before, now it’s worse. If the same tanks are going to be given to all nations, what are nations for?

Now this mess of flags…

It wasn’t just some leak lol

Check the box in the operator settings, you can return it to the standard nation flags

totally balanced

Also the horizontal traverse for the turret sucks so it’s hard to flank appropriately when compared to other vehicles of similar BR. That when paired with the slow RoF makes it definitely 9.0 material.

Is that the ARB or Sim BR?

sim

Interesting, I guess Gaijin doesn’t see the R-77 as an upgrade or something lol

thanks

I don’t think this changes what is added where at all, it just lets players customize a bit.

Could’ve been implemented a lot better though. It’s especially confusing because they still refuse to add any indication as to what nation is where as a nation and what’s just one-off vehicles…

Sure, people here know what a subtree, but a new player has no in-game way of understanding the concept, it’s very unintuitive still. Right now it just gives the false impression many one-off additions translate to subtrees, leading to weird stuff like three Finland’s confusing new players.

This mess of flags gives more detail about what the enemy is using. For example Kazakhstan might be a Su-25BM and Switzerland could be their Mirage IIIS or F-5E. Previously it would just show USSR or Germany, which could still be these aircraft, but it could also be others from those techtrees.

Personally I also just like the idea that this involves those nations a bit more. Match ups weren’t historical anyways, so throwing Switzerland on one side of this weird war still seems more reasonable than having Switzerland randomly fight for Sweden, USSR, Germany and Britain while not even being listed as participant.

Anyways if you don’t like it, you can still turn it off here. Just uncheck the box at the bottom.

Who’s sick idea was it to give the Hawk 200 RDA only 2 stock missiles and nothing else?
God DAYUM they really took a dump on anyone stock grinding high tier jets this patch didnt they?
First the premium spam at 12.0/12.7, now at 13.3 and THEN the stuff that we DO get for tech tree just arrives but is only playable when you’ve given up on playing it stock and HAVE to GE mods.
Great. Just great.

Stockgrind in top tier is just unfair at this point. You basically never see stock vehicles anymore, just spaded premiums.
That is the entire reason why i quit top tier air. Fighting against missile busses while i only get 2 IR and 2 SARH missles when spaded. Stock, you get 2 IR missiles and sometimes SARH missiles as well.
The entire reason why some TT vehicles are at the br where they are placed is because of their spaded stats. When the vehicle is stock, you shouldn’t have to be at the br where the vehicle is at.

E.G. when your vehicle is br 13.7 and has 2 IR and SARH missiles, the vehicle should be at 13.0. When the modifications are researched, wether you have it equiped or not, the vehicle should be 13.7.

Or, the best approach, don’t make the reason why the vehicle is at a surtain br a researchable modification. Just give every TT vehicle it’s missile loadout from br 11.7+ without any grindable AAM.

The desire to finish a tree has never made me want to put a bullet through my brain as much as it has in the past two patches.

Yep it’s Kazakhstan’s only vehicle. Once the player switches the Kazakhstan flag will disappear as long as there’s no other Su-25BMs on the same team,so this is a very gimmicky way of revealing extremely specific vehicles from nations with 1 vehicle at either that br range or that operator only has 1 vehicle overall

Some examples of vehicles that can be “revealed” by the flags are:
Shenyang F-5
Su-30MK2 AMV
T-72M2 Moderna
MiG-17AS
LÉ Orla
Centauro RGO

The problem is that instead of giving players the option to enter historical or semi-historical matches with longer durations, featuring nations that were enemies, or tanks from the same era, they offer idiotic options. Thank you.

It’s just so difficult without premiums.
It’s sad to see Gaijin not really caring about it’s playerbase who actually play the TT.
Instead they go for easy money. People with the wallet of their parents buying themselves into top tier and ruining gameplay for the people who have been here for decades trying to play the game as intended.

I understand Gaijin has to make money, don’t get me wrong, but by implementing constant C&P vehicles in the TT and putting the unique ones behind a paywall, just so level 14 players can buy their way into top tier, is really a knife in the back for long term players like myself.

6 years ago, i enjoyed getting a new vehicle after grinding a bit. But nowadays it just feels like a burden. Getting the same vehicle again with a different engine or an extra missile, and having to spade the same vehicle again - sometimes for over 8 times, e.g. F-5 aircraft in the American, Japanese and Chinese TT.

It’s just not fun anymore. And it’s sad that a company like Gaijin is just borderline ignoring people like us. People who are invested in grinding the TT’s they have made, people who are enjoying the strategic and team effort part of the game.
Yet these 2 things have been a thing of the past. There is no more strategic gameplay with all the map restrictions they have been placing over the years. Making invisible red, out of bounderies area’s, which would have been the perfect flank.
Or the team effort part of the game. Gaijin is so invested with quick cash, that they are ruining their own game in top tier. People with no higher tier experience, map knowledge, mechanics knowledge, etc… are joining these matches like they have grinded their way into that area. They die within 2 minutes and leave the match after 1 death. Resulting in most matches being 8v8 within the first 4 minutes of the game if you are lucky.

EDIT:

@Smin1080p_WT Sorry to ping you Smin, but i want to know your thoughts on this matter.

So many people have been complaining about this matter.
Is there any chance someone at Gaijin, maybe Gromvoiny, can elaborate the reason to why the current situation is what it is.
Back in the day, Gaijin has stated that players shouldn’t be able to buy their way into top tier. Yet that situation has changed and no one got an explanation to why that has changed. People are annoyed and tired by the current “top tier” situation.
From low level players buying themselves into that area, people who don’t contribute to the team, and people leaving after 1 death.

I really, really hope, some clarification can be given.
