Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Could also get a Hawk T.1 in rank 6 with just rockets and dumb bombs. Would be great alongside the Alpha Jets.

Was never done on the BA Prototypes/Demonstrators, nor production models. The only one that has both is the mock up with no tail number :/

ZG200: Guns, no radar (Note the sensor tube and blunted nose)

ZG200

ZH200: Guns, no radar (Note the sensor tube and blunted nose)

ZH200

(With the guns removed but still no radar, despite being painted like it has one)

vs

ZJ201: No guns, Radar (note the unobstructed nose and pointed tip)

ZJ201

Again the point was to add unique Hawks to Finland which lacks actual appeal and draw. If we just add base Mk.51 then we’ve ignored the problem

hey @Smin1080p_WT any update on this bug report?: Community Bug Reporting System
its incredibly annoying playing with it when its gun wont go up or down - its slower than russian tanks.

Also please do not suggest they get ahistorical equipment. Gaijin refuses to not stay historical with Finland which is why the Mig 21 lost its bombs, we can ignore the Aim 9L they never used or the numerous other times they ignored it, its only used when it can hurt a Finnish jet lol.

I mean it is effectively a unique hawk. No-one else would get a Mk.51, bar maybe Japan with the Indonesian Mk.53, but that could be Skipped in favour of their Mk.109.

You could quite simply do:
UK: T1A, Mk.115, Mk.120, Mk.127, T.2/Mk.128, & Mk.132 (+ Hawk-i I guess).
Germany: Swiss Mk.66
Japan: Mk.53, Mk.108, & Mk.109.
Sweden: Mk.51, Mk.51A, & Mk.66.

The Yak-38M gets 4xR60s at 9.3 with no CMs
I don’t see how R60’s and R-13s would be a problem.

In general the Hawks are a 9.0-10.0 sort of plane anyway.

Finnish hawks would be 10.0+ lol gaijin hates Finland and their treatment shows lol

Also you’re forgetting the Ayit with its AIM-9G’s or Shafrir 2 4x and flares at 9.7

The Hawk would be worse than a jet that can nearly go super sonic. So comparing it to the Ayit would be a bit better as R13’s are closer in performance so it would be 9.3 and be DOA or be placed at 9.7 because it would have better flight performance than a strike aircraft. Then tack on gaijin hate towards finland and it would be 9.7 to 10.0 lol, realistically unless gimped it would be made worthless to play because of its weapons. The BR’s are far too compressed to try and balance these vehicles and the MK.66 especially would be brutal to balance as it definitely wouldn’t get CM’s from another hawk for balance so it would either need to be Gimped or DOA.

None of Rank 8 prems have FOX-3 besides prem viggen.

But even if Su-30MK2 will be next soviet prem - R-77 wont help cuz of useless garbage radar.

I personally use Adders as longer range Archers with the HMD mode of the radar, so the radar being awful isn’t as much of a downside when using Adders as a knife-fight weapon! Though if people do like to use them as a BVR weapon, then yeah it’s not wonderful.

First, I’d like to request Japanese trainers: Fuji T-1, Kawasaki T-33A, Kawasaki XT-4, De Havilland D.H.115 Vampire T Mk.55. Hawks will be nice, but I’m hoping for a few more Japanese planes (and the Thai L-39ZA/ART).

out of curiosity any chance the UK will receive a high tier light tank before the end of the year or is that possibility not likely as we received the badger only a couple patches ago

Ik that’s ai but I just can’t prove it

The Hawks Mk.108/9 would be much higher BR than all that, mostly being a TT-equivalent to the Thai AV-8S at around 9.3-9.7, with mostly dumb-bombs with CCIP and missiles. So kinda a different area that doesn’t really conflict.
Given the differences between the various later Mk.100s and Mk.120s are relatively minor I’d expect them to come in as one block tbh.

ZH200 has also been seen with Skyflash and the blunted nose together.

Spoiler

There is also a second mock-up with both the pointed nose and 25mm guns, KSS-001

Also an image showing ASRAAM + Active Skyflash where the pointed nose and guns can be seen. (Now granted this one we can’t see the tail number so it’s not solid enough evidence.)

We have seen aircraft get fictional equipment (CM’s on the F-5C), and equipment that was never fitted (Yak-141), and weapons a plane never used (gun on the Alpha Jet TH) just to name a few so it’s not a stretch to get internal guns + radar on the Hawk since it was clearly planned and done in mock-ups.

But anyway if it does end up without the internal 25mm guns it can still carry a 30mm pod on the centreline hardpoint.

@Smin1080p_WT Sorry to Bother you

With new bug reports, converting from Imperial HP to PS will now be “not a bugged” if the difference is less than 20ps because that is “significant”, even though it is daft as all vehicles being converted between Imperial HP to PS will receive a 1.4% boost. and each no change is more significant than another, with the 20ps requirement it will mean only engines above 1440hp will benefit, realistically meaning only 1500hp Abrams and Challenger variants, which are realistically the amount of additions that this would apply to, I could count on my hands

Will there be any consideration on changing this? as this will mean many UK/US vehicles will continually underperform without any way of fixing it (Centurion, Crusader, A13, Challenger 3 TD, etc)

I understand Reports based on this are high in volume and very small changes, but all are otherwise Valid bug reports. as seen by the Churchill and Archer HP changes seen last update

I’d hate for there to be a double standard set within stone in the game, and not even a universally applied one, as some engines already have their correct PS conversions

Hey. This has been the case for some 2 years in some reports. If the outcome leads to no significant or noticeable performance changes, then it is not considered a bug if within the margin at teh developers discretion. Reports that are currently open will be under investigation on a case per case basis until the devs decide on each one.

Otherwise this leads to hundreds of possible reports for what could be (and has been) as little as 5hp.

Those are the dummy SkyFlashes, note the flat rears and the blue circles on the wings as seen on drill skyflashes.
And anyway the AOA-tube would go right trough the radar dish.
(It’s also the later ZH200 config with the guns removed)

KSS-001 is the non flying mock up I was talking about earlier (note the air intakes and mockup cockpit)

Later KSS-001 with the IR nose

If you’ll look just behind the wing of the near side A.Skyflash you’ll see the mounting post for the static display, probably from some airshow but I haven’t been able to figure out which.

I’d rather that be a trend that doesn’t continue, plus in the Yak-141’s case it’s in a speculative “service” configuration, as the Hawk 200 does have service models (that lack the guns) I doubt it’ll get the benefit of the doubt like the Yak-141 got.

the Alpha Jet TH are minor refurbishments of ex-Luftwaffe Alphajets that used the gun-pods in Luftwaffe service, at least that’s Gaijin’s excuse for it. So somewhat different.

Aye, but the ADEN 30 kinda sucks lmao, much prefer the Aden 25mm guns :/

Like don’t take this as me wanting the UK nerfed or something, I’m excited for the Hawk 200 and I want it modelled accurately as possible.

The radar variants of Hawk 200 didn’t have internal guns. There were 3 distinct options for customers to choose. Internal guns + no radar. The mocked up “Night Attack” module + internal guns, or the radar module that removed internal guns.

Still does not barrier the implementation of both options, considering the F-104S
