Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

That’s just not true though: [Development] Community Update No.7: Talking About What’s Coming Soon! - News - War Thunder

We openly and clearly stated who was getting them:

“For ground forces, we plan to add new SAM vehicles for the nations who did not receive them in the previous major update: Great Britain, USSR, Italy and France, meaning all nations will now have a new SAM.”

Last time we got some clear answers, but it was very predictable they would come since every other nation got one.

There are 2 major things I’m anticipating/hoping for:

  1. The question of Singapore going to China
  2. Adding more AESA/PESA carriers in other tech trees.

Imho, Singapore should go to either Israel or Japan. Both would benefit from SG’s additions, and Israel at least has military ties to SG in real life. Singapore uses Python-5s on their F-16Cs, for example!

Furthermore, for the US alone, there are like 5-6 options for AESA carriers, two of which I’m not looking forward to (F/A-18E, F/A-18C"+" USMC) and hoping we get alternatives (eg. F-16C PoBIT, F-15C Late, F-15E RMP). I’m really hoping we get more than just the Super Hornet by the end of the year, but I expect Gaijin to hype it up as if it’s a major upgrade (it isn’t). We likely won’t hear about this in the CM article though.

The time before that, we even directly shared a couple of images so people could figure it out quite easily for a couple of them:

We cant get much clearer when we are literally showing or naming the vehicle in some cases.

Hey @Smin1080p_WT sorry for pinging, but do your senses feel some sort of wheelie baguette launcher coming soon tm or nah ?

I can answer that.

Yes, every nation that has operated a vehicle with AESA, will get AESA in the near future.
Planes that currently don’t have AESA, but have in real life, will be looked at since balancing might become an issue.

Can we get a clear answer if sweden will get a functional top tier SAM next update?

I know, but i said usually, and in the sence off.
SPAA’s were an example.

Not all is bad, but usually the questions being answered are very predictable.

EDIT:
Which i understand due to marketing strategies etc…

SAMs are very unlikely for any nation for the next major update. Given they have been the focus for the last two.

Sad to hear that Japan, China and Sweden won’t be getting a long range SPAA.

Specifically for the ones I listed, the addition of AESA radars would likely require a new cockpit on top of it. At the very least that’s the case for the F-15C Late and F-16C PoBIT. The F-15E can be upgraded to a F-15E RMP without any issues though, to my knowledge. They’d just need to update the radar model, give it EPAWSS, and give it modern AtG weaponry (eg. JAGM-F).

But if i wont get a new one will there be any fixed to the Mi-28NM? Every game it dominates and ends the game in 5 minutes requiring 0 spawn points and countering every missile except manual

No, ofcourse not. This will be an issue for the next patches, just like the F-14 dominated for the longest time.
It’s just for money. So try and grind a new TT when top tier gets like this.

CAS focused update? :P

They need to model helicopter blades radar signature and make the IRIS-t close to immune to jamming like IRL. the bug reports have been accepted for 2 months, no action

Always, with naval this time

Will there be any discussion surrounding anti-radiation missiles like the HARM, or any other AtG weaponry like adding SPICE-250 to the F-15I, or the JAGM-F to the F-15E?

Tyskland?
wtf
like the other ones make some sense to me as a german speaker, but Tyskland WTH

that is out of the question, cas is way too op currently

Its Dansk i think.
