maybe at this point even if they fix BOL i dont think it would change much about the planes they are on
It would be a massive buff though.
Going from micro flares to larger calibre flares is a major buff and you can feel how weak the chaff is even on the Typhoon. Let alone on weaker airframes like the Tornado.
I could quite easily see it pushing something like the F3 to 12.3 and that would be fine, because it would have enough of its defensive suite to survive.
Throw 1-2 Phimat pods ontop and it goes from 32 LCMs and 320 nano-CMs to 352 large calibe flares and 216-432 large calibre chaff.
Viggen Di and FA2 would be a lot stronger at their BR and the harriers especially would feel the affect of having flares that worked with their insanely hot engine

Although I think aircraft like the F3, GR4 and GR7 were fine and with the right buffs would be perfectly competitive at that BR range. We do strictly speaking lack of a supersonic dogfighter. The F-18 bodges that

the 14.0 one was a waste of time imo, unless they are planning ASRAAMs in the near future and need to bolster the line-up before moving the Typhoon up further.
yeah the 14.0 one is the worst 14.0 hornet and the hornets at top br were already bad
Im intrigued to try out the SPAMRAAM, see if it really is as bad as people claim it to be. (not gunna be power grinding either though, i’ll get them when I get them) But yeah, alongside the Typhoon, its only purpose to bodge our lack of top tier CAS
even then its got the same amount of FnF weapons as the gripen it doesnt really add anything new the typhoon or gripen didnt already have (it a least can carry 2 AMRAAMs with the 4 FnF weapons I guess)

Its Supersonic if you give it a good tailwind and throw it down a hill naked maybe but other than that Supersonic and F-18 dont belong in the same room together.

Id still rather take HMD over better engines while also having the better RWR, and BOL but to each their own.

Compared to the Harrier Gr7. Its supersonic. Which is our only other “dogfighter” for that BR
