Afaik it’s the same.
Generally it’s a downgrade from the premium/event ones so go figure
oh so if it’s worse why did they call it the M2? oh well at least there is a tech tree BMD4

The M2 is a unification program between BMDs and BMPs.
The turret systems and propulsion are taken from a BMP-3
ohhhhh so a BMP3 with a different chassis
Essentially.
If it had darts it could offset the lack of autoloaded missiles but here we are.
It’s a fun one but defo not on my priority list.
