I would argue the one thing Russia is lacking at top tier is competent MBTs. The only good MBT they have is the T-80BVM.
The T-90M has two gimmicks: good armor and spall liners. The issue is every other part of the tank is either mediocre or bad. The reverse speed, fixed 7.1s reload, and gun angles are horrible, and the round and mobility are okay at best.
The T-72B3A is just like the T-90M but it loses out on the great armor and spall liners in exchange for an APS. Mediocre round and mobility, but terrible reverse gear, 7.1s reload, and gun angles.
Russia would really benefit from getting a new MBT like the T-14 Armada. It would actually bring Russia up to par with other nations’ MBTs.
Currently the best Russian MBTs in my opinion are the T-80BVM, T-80Us, and T-90M.
I do really hope they are able to continue on the small graphical and model updates. Ive mentioned it before but seeing the top mounted MGs actually cycle and feed rounds would be a great detail to see added. Or maybe had certain decorations on tanks like flags and bushes be impacted by wind and movement rather than be static objects.
Along with more realistic crew voice lines for modern MBTs. I think the current voice lines work fine for WW2 and Cold War era vehicles. But feel… less authentic for the Gulf War era and beyond.
I don’t see them adding the T-14 for another while

Object-195 is likely to appear faster, as it has more opportunities for nerf and balance creation.

You think gaijin would care about that ?, war thunder is already dying on it’s knees due to the amount of bugs that this update alone have caused.

They are in the files so its failry likely… just a matter of when really.

It’ll still be a downgrade compared to the 38, considering how slow and lumbering the KH-59 is
MiG-31BM and Kh-47M2 would fix the slow part

It has like a ton of range but i doubt it can even pull to guide on target in the current game map though
I do. Bugs exist in every update and it’s not like they aren’t trying to fix them. While I’m not going to white knight Gaijin, I would point out one major thing I feel like many players (many but not all) forget that War Thunder is a 13 year old game with many moving parts. Sure, its been modernized but that doesn’t mean the addition of new content, mechanics, and systems don’t come with their share problems, new and old.
Also consider the fact that the playerbase as a whole isn’t the most patient bunch. You can go back and look at the (safe to say) dozens, if not hundreds of posts leading up to this update alone, asking “when does the trailer/dev server/update drop”. Its not like people are out here going “Hey Gaijin, take your time with this next update. We don’t mind if you need to let it cook a little bit more.”
But yes. I do think they care about such things. Maybe not as much as a new system or weapon mechanic. But still.

A bug report for the TTD missing spall liners is still in the “accepted” stage for 2 years now. Are there any plans that it will be given to it? The bug report can be seen here Community Bug Reporting System
I’m also not sure if OP in the bug report attached the file, but even Reumech (one of the main creators of the TTD) claimed it has spall liners in their brochure

Man really wish they’d buff its armor too, it’s supposed to be able to withstand 125mm APFSDS, but it can’t protect itself against 125mm rounds developers much earlier. Quite sad really, but spall liners (and I prays. Reload buff someday) should help it a lot. I like this tank a lot, and I’ve never played it lmao, just like the history and looks of it.

Honestly give it a shot. It’s a very solid tank. It’s only really held back by DM63 not spalling amazingly
I would, really want to and plan to someday, but I haven’t unlocked it yet 😭
