Depending on how bad it performs i could actually see gaijin overcompensating and giving it 9X which would certainly be a moment.

It’s literally tornado. But without speed. Nothing can save it.
Side note, the introduction of aim 9x also explains why the F-18C is 14.0 while the F/A-18C MLU 2 is also 14.0, gaijin probably plans to give the MLU 2 its Aim 9X’s

BVR missiles need speed, WVR missiles require maneuverability. F/A-18E lacks both

Look at it this way, if the stingray were to be event or premium it would at least leave the opportunity for the US ground tree to receive an actually interesting tech tree vehicle.

Take a look at this. The latest that a leak has happened was on the third day after a devblog. Then note that half the time leaks come on weekends.
And we still have about another 6.5 hours left of today based on past leak times.
