I wouldn’t hold my breath on getting the Mk2, Gaijin doesn’t seem to like adding the upgraded variants of vehicles, such as: M551A1, T30E1, T29E3, M901A3, SEPv3, literally any M109 above the A1, M103A2, any other variant of the T95 medium tank (this isn’t an America suffers post, I’m just heavily invested in their tanks, every other nation has this exact problem)

Nah. The F-14A already had half a year of spotlight. It’s just a boring plane and meh looking at best (it looks better than the Hornet, but that is a low bar to clear).
It’s cult worship status is also just meh. The fanboys are too diehard to really bait, so they end up just being loud and repetitive.

Its not unreasonable to assume that more modern and capable IRCCM missiles, even without DL, will be able to match this kind of lock range. But more than likely exceed it. I wouldnt be surprised if ASRAAM, which has an effective range of 25-30+km. Could acquire a lock out that far.
