NGL I was tempted to bring this up but I also didnt want to take part in spreading the insanity that is this bug.
Then again, it gives tigerboos an excuse for not moving now xD

anyone know why M728 APDS is worse than M392A2?
Different weight, material, size of penetrator, velocity and some other stuff that i dont remember
Its raw stats mean little as different armours have different protection qualities against different shells
Its also better at angles due to an anti ricochet cap

yeah after doing protection testing stuff you are right, it does better against Soviet tanks with early composite and angled UFP’s
too bad there is no APDS with the 392A2 raw pen and 728 angled performance. M735 being in the state its in now also isnt great for the RISE(P)

Though ironically. The hated youngest child of War Thunder. Naval, seems to be pretty stable at the moment, esepcially since they fixed the hull integrity issues pretty fast. Just the servers are not use to being this busy

There would be 2 advantages to them.

Wouldnt need LoS as they are LOAL. Meaning you could volley them off at a target area, forcing the IRIS-T SLM to either switch their radar off or spend time and missiles intercepting them

You dont need a precise location for where the radar is hiding.
A Tornado GR1 flying in at 300 ft firing off 9x ALARM would actually be a threat.
But I do still maintain my opinion that they need to be added for SEAD gameplay in ARB/ASB even if they are bad in GRB.

They go pretty fast, and like Morvran said they are LOAL and can home onto radar signals after being launched. They are also available on a large amount of aircraft at many BR’s so you won’t always be facing an SLM
I highly doubt they would added it at a lower BR for balance

Also they can be used to suppress air defence too since it’s effectively guaranteed death for the missiles flight time

It depends on how they tune the “early” ARMs like the Martel.
is there anything we can do about naval costs 500k rp for a 7.0 boat making half what it should is annoying it should just 250k rp its not same as air or ground near immpossible grind especially with all these circle maps

does anyone know of the APDS for M60 having a sabot piece in the center (blocks your view of the actual round and throws you off) is accurate?
no idea if Gaijin modelled them, as of the top of my head theyve only modelled the petals, but some APDSes do have a cup/base piece.
