Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Or they could just add an AESA radar to the Typhoon, Which then also deals with Italy and Germany without really messy additions like Brazlian Gripen E

Eh… Harrier T10 specifically maybe not

Harriers in general (all 14 of them, for things like FM, Heat Sig, Sooty Exhaust, etc etc) + RAF Harrier II reports (like missing loadout configs) + BOL. Does stack up quite a bit

Harriers need a complete overhaul.

I thought that jets like F-15 or Typhoon with AESA radars will have overwhelming performance, so excluded them, leaving planes with limited missile count and/or limited flight performance.

Not really. At least at the moment with Gaijins implementation of AESA and a lack of features like ECM. If you are adding a Gripen E with AESA and we already have Rafale with AESA. Typhoon with AESA isnt exactly all that much stronger than either.

Gripen E also gets the gimbaled radar that the CAPTOR-E has iirc. (I actually want to say that the CAPTOR-E uses the Gripen Es gimbal thingy)

In any case. Brazil isnt a sub-TT of Italy and that still excludes Germany. So Typhoon getting AESA is the easiest option if the priority is AESA for everyone

Gripen E would have a 2+7 fit which is technically more than the F15E and Typhoon if they maintained 2x IR and ran as many ARH as possible on remaining pylons. Rafale also doesn’t have “limited” loadout with 8x MICA.

Also, Gripen E and Rafale don’t have limited FM

Gripen E won’t go 2+ Mach like F-15E to throw amraams at extra long distances. MICAs just dont reach long ranges themselves.

I think we are nearing the point that without any new mechanics, radar performance is starting to flatten out and get less impactful for every upgrade.

Ive did video and a bug report with it, and no view on it

Yes it would do mach 2 easily much less drag at high speeds than a f15

Just a bit of a information, gripen can track targets 360 degree spherical trough arexis AESA antennas

@Smin1080p_WT Right, I have my eyes pealed on the news today, don’t disappoint

Mach 2 is its quoted maximum speed its not going to “easily” reach that

And nothing suggests that the E can track targets 360° just high angles

The harrier T.10 suffers the same issues as the other harriers, so… lie i guess?

harriers have Smokeless engine in level flight, not ingame.
The way the game models IR as thrust means the harrier has an absurd IR signature at high thrust speeds (low speed = more thrust) making flaring IR missiles much more difficult. Same phenomenon as the F-5 but in reverse.
VIFF’ing is still wrong, but this is slowly getting better
BOL nerfs make the harrier worse.

Alot of these fixes imo do go unnoticed, maybe cause alot to write for the game, Ig a suggestion for this is simply a spreadsheet outlining the changes similar to how they do BR changes or weapon changes on some vehicles

could have a full spreadsheet outlining the full changelog so people know what’s changed if they want to read it. and if for example a cockpit change was done could have a before n after in a seperate tab

is it a chore? kinda. but it’ll outline everything and show us what happened

The claim was British Aircraft always arriving “broken”. Harrier T.10 arrived very far from broken.

The Harrier series do not have an overtly larger amount of reports open than most other moden aircraft series. Again, many of which are suggestions and not bugs.

Nothing about that is a lie, so I would appreciate if you did not twist my words and ignore all other context just call me a liar.

The fixes are detailed within the full changelog which is both presented to all players in game upon login, avalable on the website and also the forum

Hey Smin, sorry to bother you, but I have a question
Why do premium aircrafts get more score points for some actions compared to tech-tree variants? I don’t have anything against more RP or SL, but score points? That allows premiums to complete events faster and I thought that it’s something gaijin was against.
For example AV-8B(NA) gets 939 points for 190 FFARs dumped into AF and F-111A gets 1175 for dumping 456. That’s like 2 time difference for points-per-rocket(4.95 vs 2.55)
image
This might be not the best example, but I just don’t have screenshots for the best of them. And it’s F-4EJ ADTW. It gets 200 points more(950 vs 750 iirc) for 285 FFARs than linear F-4EJ. Same plane, same BR, same armament, different amount of points

Hey. Premium vehicles come with bonuses for extra rewards, not mission score.

That’s the thing, they come with increased mission score points for some actions now. I haven’t noticed it with shooting down planes(basically same amount of points), but with A2G(bases/airfields to be exact) it’s pretty obvious.
F-4EJ ADTW gets more points for dumping FFARs compared to regular F-4EJ
Su-25K gets more points for dumping S-8Ks compared to Su-25. It gets even more strange because Su-25K with less amount of rockets with less HE filler gets more points that regular F-4E for dumping rockets into AF modules

Anything exciting I should stay awake for?
