im just waiting… for israeli early ranks
since the beginning of time
Algeria would also have had British and German vehicles, and unique local modifications.
Anyway Algeria doesn’t fit in France. It wouldn’t make any sense to put it in there.
Putting Algeria in the French tree because it was “considered part of France” is like suggesting a Polish tech tree be folded into Germany’s because it was under Reichskommissariat control for a few years. Or Korea into Japan for the same reasons. It makes no sense and it’s just disrespectful.
There was no distinct Algerian military under France, no independent development, just French equipment used under French command. India at least had its own army and structure within the British Empire. Algeria didn’t.
Oh so after reading what Gszabi said, I’m DEFINITELY grabbing popcorn.
This drama better be insane.
( Please god I hope it’s not Yugoslavia as a USSR sub tree, then we’d get soviet rafale lol)
I hope its not Czechoslovakia to USSR, then we’d get soviet F-35, Gripen, F-16
It was a bit more then just that too, people forget the British Indian Army had its own armaments and procurement doctrines and systems too, they didnt even fully adopt the BREN gun until WW2 was in full swing as an example and had their own armoured car programs (didnt have the practical tech knowledge and experience to go too far beyond this which is why the Vickers MBT was such a big deal of a program).
stingray m41 was thai
I mean, as much as I don’t really have hopes for anything decently interesting being added ( unless it’s behind a paywall cuz classic wee gee) I really can’t wait for what kind of absolute cinematography they can cook up.
Oh yes, of course! Thats exactly what I meant by their own structure, they had distinct procurement systems and equipment choices. If I recall correctly, they even had their own SMLE rifle variant too!
It was an export option and there was a non-Thai prototype. It’s not much different from what Thailand tested, but it had an M2HB .50 cal mounted and might have used a different M41 chassis than the Thai M41A3.
Thai M41 Stingray
US M41 Stingray
So enough to be a separate vehicle if they wanted it, and slightly less of a stretch than the Stingray prototype
le event vehicle
How can they fit a sub-tree for US or Russia tbh
they cant
They can make “exceptions”, or they announce that a 6 row TT is now possible.
I sure hope we are getting some news tomorrow.
Filling in the gaps in the tree itself.
It doesn’t particularly need a whole line to itself and if so just shift stuff around like they did with a few sub trees already.
Does Russia have any gaps?
No, not really. People just want foreign equipment.
Was just about to say.
