The EX’s are assigned to the same air superiority/defence mission as the F-15C’s, that’s what they are replacing. So the Su-35 would be the right counterpart

Same could be said about the SU-30SM it takes part in air superiority and defense missions aswell.
Like shown in lots of (failed) drone defense in Crimea
The EX is meant to take over the air superiority mission from the C, which was air superiority only. It’s also meant to be able to operate effectively in a2a with just the pilot, the Su-30’s are meant to have both crew at all times like the F-15E. The EX and Su-35S are both the peak versions of the F-15 and flanker, so it makes sense for them to come together.
Don’t know where this comes from. the SU-30 is able to be operated by a single pilot.

Bro the Su-30SM2 is basically a Su-30SM upgraded to be on par with the Su-35S, not the opposite
That’s what we said yes. It’s a SU-30SM with the engines and avionics from a SU-35
So the SU-35S is closer to be a counterpart of the F-15EX then? I get the EX and SM2 are both tandem seaters but that doesn’t matter that much, the Su-35S has a better airframe so it’s more better
I’m mainly compared roles of the aircraft not just airframe.

and everything the Su-30SM2 can do, can be done by the Su-35
and unlike with the Su-30 the Su-35 has been seen with the T220 TGP before
also the Su-30SM2 dosent have the MAWs or LWR
