There will be a bit of a fuss on the forums but that is pretty much it.
Most people, including Gaijin, is well aware that adding a Ukrainian to the Russian tree is an action that can very well impact their revenue.

This isn’t true, I advise you visit the RU forum where most of the devs hang out, UA tech is definitely a possibility for the SU tech tree.
The main thing is that Gaijin’s main market for selling stuff is in the west/western alligned and China.
So would they really risk their revenue in a much much bigger market to satisfy people in a much smaller market? I doubt it.

UA is the abbreviation for Ukraine and SU is the abbreviation for Soviet Union

You’ll find this stuff on the old ru forum and it’s not written out like that, they basically pointed out in the future they will expand the tree with more vehicles from ex-republics from the Soviet Union, they pointed out Kazakh, Ukraine and I think the other one was Belarus, it may have been Georgia I can’t remember.
I tried letting people know this a while ago but got attacked instead. Anyways, we’ll just wait and see.
Anyway I think most Ukrainians wouldn’t want their tech lobbed into the Russian tree, well tbf I don’t think they care about War thunder currently

The world events have probably changed their stance on ukraine.
Adding ukraine to RU now, would create an enormous amount of backlash.
War Thunder has been on the news for a few times now, adding Ukraine to RU would be so incredibly controversial, that game news will be all over the place talking about it.

but you wont find anything even close to that on modern one).
ex-republics are quite large list.
but only some of them are pro-russian, which should matter.
Ukraine, Georgia, maybe even entire Caucasus region shouldnt be in USSR TT.
Smin said they aren’t a sub, so they can easily be moved if required same as the Israeli stuff
