Has it ever been tested or carried in real life? I’ve never seen an F-35 with dual AMRAAM on the wing hardpoints
I am not sure if it’s tested, who knows what happens outside of public view, but it is a capability Lockheed Martin state it to have.
Iirc the F-35B also is limited to only 4 external AMRAAMs instead of 8, but I’m not sure where I’ve seen that so take it with a grain of salt. But this might be an issue for Britain if true.

We are buying F-35As. So its fine
though id probably just use the F-35B most of the time because I enjoy VTOL in SB to RTB to a carrier

Its probably like the Typhoon’s 6+6 weapons fit. Its theoretically possible, but wont ever be done unless the need arises, which probably wont happen in peace-time and therefore be near impossible to bug report.
I’ve also seen RENDERS with six internal AMRAAMs

Shame the Zipang wasn’t started, though the super yamato (or A150 if we went technical) would do nicely.
(If only carriers would be able to be playable in a way that doesn’t make all but 3 nations extremely disadvantaged).

Yeah, with sidekick weapons racks it could carry 6 internal missiles. But for these we know that F-35 normally can’t do that and I don’t know which (if any) are equipped with it.

I don’t trust Smin’s statement mainly due to three factors,

Christmas, every Christmas update has always been about new aircraft jumps, look at the Typhoon last Christmas, the year before jet focus and the update of 22 F-16’s Mig-29s and all of the cool stuff in there. So yeah bit strange to not have something huge for this Christmas.

Models, we all should know by now that gaijin commissions a bunch of models and those models that are ready make up the update unless it’s has a theme in which the highlighted models will be ready on time

God, I really wish the US wasn’t the only Blufor nation with CATOBAR carriers (I don’t count France, they do their own thing), I’d love to see C models operated by allied nations.

I will usually always choose fun over anything else. Which is why the biggest buffs im after for the Tornado are not necessarily performance buffs like finishing the FM, but instead things like ASMs and CBUs
