Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

you can easily see that that list is fake

just look at the ammount of light vehicles/ IFVs

gaijin would never

Who says we can’t have a IFV themed update, think we had air, we had naval so what’s next IFV’s ?

Given it has a British vehicle for Israel I would say its likely fake lol.

FV432 30mm RCWS was to upgrade British FV432 fleet and was partially done (the armour upgrade IIRC came from this) and was part of the mk3 bulldog program afaik with the only part not taken being the 30mm/spike combo for the RCWS as it got downgraded to a machinegun. Its odd to be in the Israeli area.

Didn’t spot that but yeah but yeah idk since it’s a good one

When should we start seeing blogs for the next major actually? Around the middle of August right?

Mid to late august so about a month

Smin recently said we should expect the next Community post this month too, probably with a similar timeframe. These are basically devblogs by another name at this point

Well not really devblog but more of a here’s the plan and what our thoughts are

They did reveal things like Fuel dumping and Falklands map (despite both being a major let down), as well as give a riddle for the major additions coming (all the battleships)

yeah we all forgot the read the fine print on that
that said that only the F-111 will get it

There’s too many side grades, for all gaijin’s faults generally they not to add to many similar things at once, unless they’re line up padding that is,
e.g. FV432 30 is literally the same turret and vibe as the Namer 30, Leo 1A6 VT-2 is a slightly more armoured 1A1A1 L/44, AMX-10PAC is a mars 15 AMX-10P hybrid, etc

Yeah… that has to be one of the most stupid decisions they’ve ever made

like it cant be that hard to add the flames to the other aircraft

Not even that much. Realistically speaking, that is a novelty, but not really the main functionality.

Sure, only add the flames to the F-111s to begin with, but why not add fuel dumping to everything else (and I mean every single other aircraft in game that had it) and then just add the aesthetics of the fuel dump mechanic over the following major updates piece-meal like they;ve done for fuel tanks.

It would have been an incredibly useful mechanic in aircraft like the Harriers (and basically anything else that does carrier landings at a bare minimum)

it would also enable you to take more fuel
and if you have to dogfight you can just dump some of it to get lighter

Yep, and with no limit, it would have allowed heavy fighters to dump down to below 30%.

But half the reason I take fuel tanks is for a psuedo fuel dump mechanic

Also as a whole the mechanic is just…why? Of all the things they could have added Fuel dumping really shouldn’t have been one of them. Or at least its relatively low on the ladder for mechanics that could be added.

I Dont entirely agree with that. It is a core mechanic of aircraft, that many have been asking for, for years and is a critical mechanic for some aircraft. But they priorotised the flames over the actual mechanic, that was bottom of the ladder
