F14D had one of strongest radars in the fleet fleet for longest time btw in game its hot garbage cause iran literlally caused computers to brick themeselves if they where near

BIG Upgrade you ditch the gimped awg-9 for APG-71 get AIM-7P best sparrow ingame AIM-9M late blocks IRST which works really well with 9M btw and TCS lots of cool upgrades Oh and AIM54ECCM sealed which is really resistant to chaff
and maybe aim120 A if they want as it was a mod just wasnt used but ya know YAK141 couldnt use its missiles so
They should add the YAL-1 next update it would be an interesting playstyle
Did it get better engines?
All that translates to heavier aircraft with meh weapons at a higher tier in WT
same GE-110 Ge 400 producing insane thrust and its actually lighter as less analouge components
But it’s heavier now, so for some still meh weapons and a slightly better radar and worse flight performance is it worth the jump in BR?
not slightly better the APG 71 could match early eurofighter and late F15 blocks like F15E before AESA
Still won’t really matter when all you have is a fat plane with worse missiles than everything else at that BR unless they give it AIM120’s but then it’s just a worse F-15 isn’t it
F14D can go bar for Bar with F16A in a turn fight its same FM as F14D
F14 ate early F15S alive in in BFM and BVR

there FM are near identical B=D FM wise all upgrades are BVR And MISSILES
The D is almost 2tonnes heavier with the same engine
