Of what?
ASRAAM? CAMM? SLS? SLM? SLX?
The Raven system
The same as ASRAAM, so according to the current data, up to 15 miles.
Oh god, didnt even think about that.
Well, if there was ever a time to remove MP, I guess its now
MP won’t be that much of a issue to it. Not only is the missile a modern one, but it also uses a 2 way DL with the whole system, so the search radar and E/O would correct the missile.
Providing Gaijin doesnt make it so the missile ignores DL when it goes active like they do with ARH missiles in the air.
Especially with SL-AMRAAM firing Aim-120Bs
CAMM has 2 way datalink. SLAMRAAM does not.
So that might mean CAMM is fine, but does mean defeating SLAMRAAMs will be trivial
but CAMN is still based on a smaller missile, so ALAMRAAM could performance better in longer distance.
and 1 way DL is enough for game use
It’s a fake list don’t worry. We can all forget about this sad list.
Going by the suggestion
The base AMRAAMs would only be about 15km. The base CAMM has a range of 25km (with some docs partially indicating a range potentially greater than that)
it’s the max range, just mean the missile can actually get there. but I doubt its actual energy level.
it’s like you change VT-1’s self destruction range to 20km in game, then it can reach 20km, but hardly able to hit anything.
SL-AMRAAM is a old system after all, modern tech allows missile’s battery last longer, and better ballistic planning(saves energy but this isn’t modeled in game)
You’ll have to ask Devil for the Docs, but when testing CAMM, they had to use a reduced motor because the missiles were traveling up to 60km.
ASRAAM itself has an official range of 25+km but is widely to beleived (with good secondary docs supporting it) to be more like 50km.
Id be confident in CAMM being a threat out to 20-25km
I discussed this with him before, just after the official leak of 625E and IRIS-T, he partly agree.
this should be a fully ballistic travel range, like a unguided rocket, landed in 60km away, which is not very strange.
Yeah, but that still means it probably has the energy to engage at target that isnt evading hard out to 30 or so km and more than likely can engage a maneuvering target at 20km
hardly
take the example of Hermes-a, Russian prototype missile, basically a 96YA6 with a bigger warhead(even worse energy), has a range of 100km, but 95YA6 only has 18km for air targets(in game, it can hardly follow anything after 10 or 12 km).
This one does make sence
But @magazine2 told us in the cm disclosure that “most” nations will be getting new SPAA.
Knowing the Gaijin shenanigans, Italy, Japan and Israël remain SPAA-less.
So what, you reckon CAMM can only shoot things down at a range of 10km despite having a range reported of 25km+?
I mean, game situation is much different from irl, so don’t except too much.
irl this range is meaningful, for intercepting ammo, drone or other similar things. and IRL plane are also not so “maneuverable” than in game.
