That would be a good point, untill you realise that Sweden is getting a new AA. And what AA does Sweden have now?
god please no we have out own options we don’t need a indian sam yet
hopefully the UK take priority over SA and IN additions
fair point
Although contrarily to MICA VL, it could be given to more countries at once (less dev, more content)
They’d have to fix the missile first anyway, it has a really weird behavior when fired from a stand still right now.
Basically dead by the time it reaches 10km, and then barely glides to 20km.
Land Ceptor which is really the only option bar gravehawk (which as others point out might not be viable due to redacted) is arguably out of scope still, its a 120km system iirc.
Good chance of it being a South African or Indian system.
I mean, theres bloodhound Mk1 trailers but err, yeah. xD
that better pantsir, or Pantsir S1M/SM wont suit top any more, 57e6m is super fast and 30km range, but worse maneuverability than 95ya6 which is already bad maneuverability. sadly, there isn’t any short range Russian FNF SPAA.
if they are adding multi vic SAMs there isnt a reason for Skysabre to not be added it has a 20-25km range which seems more then appropriate since IR weapons can be launched from 20km and GPS weapons can be launched from even further out. The UK has been stuck with a 10km SAM and they have a domestic option right there we dont need an Indian or SA option
That is for CAMM-MR CAMM-ER is 45km and standard CAMM is 20-25km
120 is search radar range. Missile range from >25km through >45 to >100km. They could easly add it with the 25 missile
Base CAMM has 60km ballistic range
Gaijin please with the Falklands map coming next update it would be perfect to give us this icon along with it.
of CAMM is 60km what is the 25KM one?
Ballistic range of the >25km one is 60km.
It can reach 60km in a straight line.
Effective is >25km.
Does the British Army actively put that missile in the system and have it in stock though? Gaijin enjoy their “well this isnt a missile it actually uses so no proxy” thing for the brits remember ;)
I think it’s just 25km, maybe a little further with some wind.
60km for a 99kg missile is not reasonable, it’s already much better than missiles with similar size thanks to its clean structure
Does IRIS-T SLM not conform to the same certain events?
it’s still simply a serviced one, like Leopard or T-64
During CAMM testing, they were using special short burn motors, as if the electronics failed, the missile would have flown 60km in a straight line.
Ofc that range will be very much limited against normal targets.
I appreciate MBDA only give a “high level” overview on their systems but it really is a PITA when trying to use “official sources” to bug report. With speed as “supersonic”
Great, so in Gaijins eyes the missile is capable of mach 1.0
