Not quite, it’s about 5% F-16 parts while the rest is new components. It’s also not based on the F-16, but the SX-3, which itself is a further development of the Agile Falcon.

For the visual changes mainly it’s a differently shaped wing that’s meant to carry higher loads and improve maneuverability over even the Agile Falcon design, larger elevators to improve pitch authority, an extended rear fuselage, a higher sitting three-piece canopy, larger flaps and slats as well as longer and wider LERX.

F-2 is to an F-16C-40 what a Super Hornet is to the YF-17, related, but very different.

why do I just have this impending feeling of the UK getting shafted and being given G6-HVM or ZA-HVM when everyone else is getting stronger sams I hope everyone gets a pantsir counter or better (I swear if the UK is shafted at having the shortest range SAM again im gonna be annoyed lmao)

AA is probably the one needs the most work on. As of MBT, fixing bugs should bring most tank on par.

Not really both will realistically lose too much energy and be about 6km for the Eldenhet 98 and about 8-17km for the 625E, so again its kinda already outclassed by spaa we already have.

they could just give us our domestic option clearly they are looking at multi vic units they could easily just give us Sky Sabre which is 20-22km from what I know for the basic missile

I’d love for it to be F-2, but with the last one already having been single aircraft themed maybe I think it needs to be something else alongside it.

I hope it’s J-10B, so we can get two relatively underrepresented nations as a focus, especially those that are currently missing top tier, but I could also see F-2 being one of multiple ASM aircraft, with ASMs being the main focus and something like the Super Hornet also getting a role.
But mainly I just hope F-2 isn’t sidelined, it’s time for a teaser with Japan in a lead role now, since such a chance probably won’t come again after this.

What im getting at is its a poor excuse for new SPAA especially if you put them at 12.0, its a blatant fail at any semblance of balance when most 9.x CAS can easily defeat them.
